I second the scamazon Yeswelders. When we moved to CG a couple years ago my old buzzbox had just died and got the Yeswelder 135 flux core/stick machine just to have something for the property. I’m no pro, but after getting better leads and ground clamp I love that little thing! It’s not the Miller or Hobart I use at work, but I’ve gone through about 5lbs of flux core and a couple pounds of 6011 and 7018 in two years, fixing everything from gates to tractor. i think it’d be hard to find a better bang for the buck setup to teach wire and stick basics (all the lower tier red and blue machines are Chinese crap too but still 2-3x the money).
