Congrats flatlander!! Heard that area was hot for birds. We had a few gobbling Friday AM in 23 as well but couldn’t close the deal. The wind definitely put a damper on it.

I’m newer to turkey hunting and am still learning a lot...... So what is the earliest in the year turkeys will shock gobble? Will they in Mid March? Have a youth and 2nd hunt tag in 23 and will be in the area then. Wanted to narrow down some areas but wasn’t sure if that would even be beneficial that early. im sure the answer will be “some will” but figured I’d ask . Thanks in advance

Movement on those late hunts is more from pressure than weather a lot of the time. Go shed hunting for sure and start looking for nasty canyons and water away from roads. Congrats on a fun tag!
