Youth 23 turkey, 3c turkey for me
-
Looks tasty
-
Elk Tenderloin, mushroom pan sauce and mashed potatoes. Meat carried over temp more than I thought it would while resting but turned out fantastic. Was the son’s pack out meal request.
-
Man, he looks happy! Congrats to you both on a great hunt!
-
Had this happen. Updated app and restarted phone and it worked
-
Mine too, one youth and one adult
-
I was thinking 7:52 so you’re less wrong than me
-
The last draw has me curious if it’s a multi day affair or one and done
-
I’m used to the month long debate thread for the deer and elk draw. Good luck on a Goulds tag
-
Heck yeah! Great hunt!
-
Congrats! Those are some great deer!
-
It was an emotional roller coaster to say the least, thank you
-
Great story and great birds, congratulations!!

Successful and satisfying are two different things. You can have a satisfying enjoyable once in a lifetime can’t wait to to back hunt that was unsuccessful.

Free bump for a great spotter. Have an ATC and the size and capability of these things has been amazing. Hope all goes well on the home front

Congrats on the successful hunt and on sharing it like that. Processing is honestly one of my favorite parts of hunting

Man, I was just having a conversation about the this. Only one trip around this sun, and that sunrise in that location will never happen again.. That’s the part that’s hard to explain to people who don’t hunt. . The stuff you see, hear, feel, that will never be again

Agree fully. But unsuccessful doesn’t mean a bad hunt, didn’t learn, not fun, etc.

I had a shoulder mount done by mounted memories in AJ. Ahead of schedule and happy with the mount.

I’ll second for the mystery ranch pop up. Just got my son one.

Thanks for the write up, and great bull. Way to hunt hard. That smokes been nasty! Congratulations!

I have a soft spot for the 30-06 based cartridges. Hits that sweet spot in a lot of ways.

I am also toying with getting one. I was looking long and hard at building a 338-06 (still am!) and it was wild how often the 35 whelen and 9.3 came up in those conversations with those considering the 338-06. I love the history of the round and can’t find anyone who has one who doesn’t love it. Depending on what you are looking for, JES at www.35caliber.com can bore out a 30-06 to it pretty easily. May open up some other build options. I have a single shot CVA I am planning to have bored out to dip my toes in it. If I like the round, planning on having a bolt action done.
