Did draw my Antelope tag. Got hit on card yesterday. First AZ Antelope tag. Likely last too

Point creep must have been huge this year.

I thought I would be in Max with 29 for Antelope for unit I put in for but nothing on card. Hopefully not done processing.

Anyone travel outside of US with rifle for hunting trip leaving Sky Harbor in the last year or so? Trying to figure out if Sky Harbor will have Customs or BP at airport to sign off on the Form 4457 or need to get signed off in Phoenix somewhere else the day or two leading up to trip.

Called airlines and they only provide requirements for traveling with guns on their airlines/planes. They don’t check customs paperwork or what is needed and if you have it or not.

I can not believe all the complaints of the changes. Been abused and finally getting resolved. Some elk camps in 9 all the hunters had crossbows. Archery is true archery now except for the few true exemptions needed. If can’t hunt with a bow then don’t put in for archery.

I have 29 going into 2026 and should be my year.

I think if vehicles and back packs were checked in 9 and strip you would be surprised how many people are running thermals. Very common in MX too even though illegal to bring across.

Hopefully they get caught soon. Wish they shoot wild horses instead.

You guys that have hunted WY before. When do you like to go? Opener or October I’m in AK the first two weeks in Sept so likely going up for 7-10 days in early to mid Oct. could go back still after if I didn’t find anything the first 10 days. Was thinking less hunters too and not have that pressure as much. heard some guys like to hunt end when in large groups but have to worry about weather. like to hear what you like, perfer and experience

Compare our non resident tags fees to any west state. NM is increasing their non resident fees also and compare to hunt quality with ours.

A buddy and I applied for elk this year together this year. I had 15 and he had 14 points. Under my draw apps he states we average 14 points. My understanding and AZ G&F websites .5 would be rounded to the next higher # which would be 15 points for the draw. Group Bonus Points Average: 14 I would have thought the G&F would note our average is 15 and is this the number they used for the draw or is this something else and we were in the draw for 15 points just doesn’t note that anywhere.

Im a big Lowa Tibet fan. Have tried other brands but fit just didn’t work for me. Try on a bunch with your favorite hunting sock. Quite a few good brands out there and just find what fits best for your feet. Lathrop and Sons is another option.

Fun unit but overhunted. Plus an outfitter sets up a couple cities with 5-15 hunters on each hunt which every hill has a spotter in area. Some of the glassing spots they spent night on before the openers. atleast the Dec hunt has less hunters and will be a blast. Pray for cold weather.

Every time I go into Bass Pro, old Cabelas, and Sportsman Im disappointed so just don’t do it. Buy everything online. Sheels is nice and carry quality stuff

Based on most RMB tags going to max pool, a lot of guys are putting in for Rockies rather then Desert tags with their 34 points.
