I never felt like the shoulder straps did not have enough padding even while packing out Linneas elk. Maybe Casey feels that way because his belly is bigger than his hips and he can not carry the weight on his hips like you should Mike

Woo Hoo, Got my stock today It a Boyds Laminate with the finger groves and vented forearm. It weighs in a 1/4# lighter than the old factory stock. But of course there is a problem The comb is to high to look thru the scope without pushing my cheek down hard. So it looks like I will Have to go with a 50MM scope for the replacement. How much height will the scope gain with the 50MM? 5MM? I do not have 5MM between the scope and barrel now with the 40MM so I am guessing I will need new rings which would be taller. Total height gain of 10MM? Mike

Me either but I bought a package deal from my neighbor It came with a super 16 in 223 with a Burris Phamtom and the first time I took it out I was able to do a 1.00 group at 100 off the side of my truck. I for one am looking real hard at moving on top of the rim. GF has 22 so screwed up that I will bet you $100.00 someone will be shot this year. They added 265 more tags after adding I think 200 the year before. In 2 years there will not be an Elk to be found. Mike

I am sure there will be older hunters then Jim but I would like to take a little space here to say Solong to a man that went on my Sheep hunt. He was a true sportsman, hunter, camp cook, and awsome behind a spotting scope. I think he is the only man in Az history to draw 3 Desert Sheep tags.
