Young Man Do you have a first cousie under your belt Are you asking if your pops made a wrong choice for your hunt I do not think so There are many ways to hunt for the many differant types of hunters. NONE of them are wrong. It is just the way you like to hunt. My girls grew up mostly hunting out of blinds but we have started to hunt more with optics and open country. Hunting out of a blind really helps to get some hunting skills and harvest under the belt before you have to start making longer shots. I would say more people are optics hunters than blind hunters because it is VERY hard to just sit and wait for them to come to you. The good part about blind hunting is your not wore out from stalks and most of the time you can get them out a whole lot easier. $.02 Mike -

I would like to retract my post The problem was with my tripod head not the adapter. The head has a cork pad on it and the adapter just sat on the edge of the cork causing it to feel a little loose. I was not using the receiver and was just screwing the adapter to the head. The wider foot print of the receiver made it much more stable. I think i may also remove the cork under the receiver and locktite it. Sorry for any confusion Mike

I have never used the Swaro adapter so I can not say on that one. I made my own when I bought my Swaro's because I did not want to pay the Swaro price and has worked well. I bought a Jim White a month or so ago and I have to say Jim the base is to small to keep the binos steady, On my tripods anyway I have bought several things from J.W. and have liked all except this. Larry, taking in all the variables, other than shock loose, I really think we could guess within 10% from gross weight to final processed meat. That being a SKINNED, CLEANED, COOLED animal. If you shoot it in the morning and can not cool it over night than get it to a walkin now! NOT after a few beer I, for one. can not understand why someone would bring you a animal with a cape on it unless they were 5 minutes away from your shop. GET THAT HIDE OFF. I hear people say they do not like the taste of WILD game DAH!!!! If it is not taken care of in the field! IT WILL TASTE LIKE MULLINS Sorry Jim, Shortpants told me that. I am ranting because people are tearing you and proccessors up in general. I have never used you so I will not make any comment about what people have said. I will say again>>> before you complain about the people you pick to take care of your harvest, you should do one yourself... Mike
