LOST RIFLE DURING LATE PIG HUNT
GameHauler replied to TEAM TOAD's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
It is sure good to see honest people these days. Sure hope the owner gets there gun back, you know there bumming. I found a chain saw some one forgot last year during Elk camp. Left a note where I found it to let the owner know I had it and were camp was. He came and got it from one of the other guys at camp while I was gone and was very greatful. He could have at least fliped me a $1.00. Unlike the #&^@#*^$ that found my and buddys pack frames I hid to make room for the elk we were hauling out. That hurt I had to buy 2 new ones -
What do you mean you have not been looking You know I have a tag Get out there and find FRESH bear sign You may evan find a brownie or two

I havn't seen anything in 22 north yet. Any one going to make it out for the hunt Friday? Mike

It has to do with "Non native vegatation" When we have forest fires all the trucks that come to fight the fire from other states or regions have to go thru a wash down before they go into the wood to remove any Non native seeds or vegitation and or bugs. That is why it is not legal, salt, kane, so on do not live. Good luck with it on your property. Mike

As far as tree stands go you can put them up but you can not use a nail of any sort. The forest service Made a law way back when, when the lumber industry was going strong. The law was to stop what is called SPIKING. The tree hugers back then would drive a spike into trees to damage the loggers equipment. So you may use steps or a means of securing you stand as long as it can be removed (unscrewed) Not trying to hijack this thread just thought it kind of fit Mike

I've wondered about that myself but i think since most of that stuff is made back east that our soil will not do well. Also most of the food plots you see are on private land. It is not legal to plant something on forest service land. Mike

I can't beleive there is anyone around to post on the forum Payson looked like the 101 yesterday afternoon. Every travel trailer, quad trailer, or just quad owning person from the valley must have been passing thru town. It looked like Labor Day weekend Hope you all had fun and found some bone Mike

Well, I'm back to harping about "write it down" Yes I have seen them once and forgot all about them till now. I was javi hunting and thought I hit the Mother Load They were across a cayon about 200 yrds and just was not sure what they were Once we figured out what they were I did not smoke one being unsure of the legalities. I'm sure I will never have another chance Mike

Man, I'lle have a bloody finger if they don't release it by 3:00 when I close my shop today. I'm not on line at home and you know once someone gets a busy tone they don't stop dialing till they get thru and you can't not try, CAUSE you just don't know. I realize if they do release it today it will be shortly after 5:00 "OK every one out?, All the lights off?, Here we go I'm pushing the button, RUN" -

???????????????? I did not see any changes??? -
I learned a few years back that the online App. process stinks. This is why I mail mine Early. I can watch my bank account and if my checks don't clear within a couple weeks I can follow up with GF to see if there is a problem with plenty of time to take care of any issues. Yes this means we have to put the money up front but if you would just put $10.00 a week into an envelope in your sock draw you would have the cash. No more anxiety attacts like the ones a lot of you are feeling right now. I know I said this before but I really think we should do away with online. It would also help with a chance to draw a tag as it would help get rid of some of the competition. I won't us the term I did before, but a lot of fence hunters may not apply as often and the bunny huggers and out of staters would have to come up with the money up front. I am not apposed to out of state hunters and if they want to put in they can, in the same process we do, Cash up front. This is just my feelings and thanks for letting me vent again. Something to think about. Mike
