Yes take the jack off. You may or may not need to take the motor off the head. You need to take the horizontal shaft and top gear out which will involve tapping out a roll pin or two. Then the lower gear should just lift out. Look at the top of the inside section that fell out, there should be a hole where the pin goes or you will see the pin broke off.

You will have to use a bottle jack to get it off. Depending on the make most have a roll pin that the gear sits on and it holds the jack guts in place. that broke or came out.

If possible get a hard side camper. Much better climate control and better chance of it having a bathroom. Easier to set up and get ready to head home. Of course you can always use a porta potty.

Want to do riffle but archery is not out of the picture. I will not make the trip unless I have something lined up to where I have a chance at a wall hanger. Keep me updated on what your plans are and who knows.
