I once hit a doe instead of the buck. I self reported, met up with G&F who did the same thing, written warning and confiscation of the deer. The only downside was that I was in an area where there was a lake nearby. Since my hunt was over I decided to due some trout fishing. Lo and behold about an hour later I see the same GF Ranger checking fishing licenses. The deer I had shot about 2 hours before was still rolling around in the back of his vehicle. It was fairly warm that day so I questioned myself, does the meat actually make it to a donation/processing place or?

I was in 21 yesterday saw 2 bucks. Only saw 4 other hunters.

That's correct he needed to continue feeding the direction he was headed. This would have put him inside 40 from where I was set up. 40yds is the farthest I'll take a shot at.

Saw this muley today exact same area as the white tail buck from yesterday. Couldn't get into long bow range.

Rut is going strong. Took this picture today at 235 yds away. I got to 65 yds, clear line of site a few more yds and I would have sent it. There was a second buck as well. As soon as I'm getting ready to draw back a doe appears, I tell you what I've never heard bucks and does make the noises they made today. Both bucks turned opposite direction and went crazy straight for the doe. Seen 4 bucks today. Heading out again tomorrow. 40 yds is my max ill shoot with my longbow. Hope to get it done tomorrow.

Last weekend to get it done. I spotted the same bucks and does in the same area I've been hunting in unit 21. Hope to seal the deal this weekend, trad style.

I was out hunting unit 21. I've been seeing multiple bucks on a daily basis since Saturday. Today I sitting mid level on a hill glassing. All of a sudden two A10 Thubderbolts go flying by NAP of the Earth style, I'd say about 300 to 500 ft AGL. Was a sight to see. By the time I got my camera out they were gone along with the roar of freedom!

I spent this past weekend hunting unit 21. 3 days straight I was in the same area seeing a lot of deer and bucks. The bucks were moving with the does. Just could not seal the deal. If I was using a mechanical arrow slinging device aka compound bow, I would have sealed the deal. I only use my longbow or recurve. Love the challenge.

I've seen them provide air support many times as well as the specter gunships. It's a sight to see. Especially when that main gun is firing. That brrrrrp sound! Seen them in action during my combat tours.

I had a 16 Trail 4runner, sold it and picked up a 17 GX460. 2.5 in Ironman lift on it. So far everything I've thrown at it, it has handled. Both are a good choice. Older Toyota pickups are good as well. Throw a camper on it and your good to go.

I sure am. 100%. It's actually getting tougher to draw the Hopi tags. In my group I usually hunt with we always put in for archery and rifle hunts. Last year only my brother drew a tag. I was last drawn for a Hopi tag 2 years ago.

That's what they anticipate, but will wait and see. I had them mount up my "held against its own will" suppressor to my 8in SBR just for giggles. I tell you what, it's a beauty!

Just purchased a suppressor on Tuesday. Did it all with the SS Kiosk. I picked out a in store can paid it and submitted all forms. I already have my ATF pin and password ready. Just waiting for my paperwork to go to certify status with the local dealer I purchased from.

Glassed up this buck this morning, out here on the Hopi Reservation. I got today and tomorrow to get it done. Supposed to get some snow up here starting tomorrow. Hope so.

I've been rifle hunting the rez up here in Northern Arizona since yesterday, opening day. Seen 2 bucks together. Haven't seen a single doe yet.
