Ditto, That is the One hunt story I have been waiting for after reading your first story of her Coues. I have a seven year old Daughter that reads the stories with me everynight and thinks your daughter is the coolest. I would agree. A huge congratulations you Dad and especially to you Kalyn.

I was told years ago about an old Bomber Wreck some where here in Southern AZ that is a two day hike. I am wanting to take the trip to it however I can not remember where it is. Does anyone know where that wreck is located? Any help is appreciated.

Went down to Sonoita this weekend for my 10th Wedding Anniversary. Saw alot of beautiful country, very deep grass a few deer and a lot of wine. Here are a couple pics of the new sticker and deer. My dad shot this buck at 140 yards on Friday. We glassed him up @ 0700 and finally shot the buck @ 0830. It seems as though this passion of mine has come full circle, my dad was the one to introduce it me more than 25 years ago, teaching and coaching the ins and outs, rights and wrongs and now he is turning to my brother and I along with my friends to show him the "new fangled way". The only way that this could have been a better weekend is if my brother could have made the hunt. Thanks to Christian for helping out with this buck, this will be a hunt that my Dad and I won't soon forget.

Unbelievable Bud, I was confident you would find the bucks you were after Those bucks are BIG!! Your story puts me right there with you dude. You and your dad both have alot to be proud of. You are very lucky to have the Friends you do, they make the hunt that much more memorable. Fantastic job to all that were involved.

Hey brutha, That buck is very well earned. It was a very tough hunt with all the other hunters in the area, lucky for us they weren't very serious about hunting. It was an absolute blast making some more memories that will last a life time. Thanks for not telling all the stories about me, much appreciated my man. Heck of a buck and wish I could have been there to help you pack that beast out.

I took the head and cape of the buck that my dad shot last weekend to Wellers, so they could have an extra cape on hand and when Gavin cut the ears off they were loaded with big grey ticks. To the point that it probably made this buck very hearing impaired. My question is; Will the presence of these Numerous ticks pose any health risks to Humans by consuming the meat or to the deer for that matter? Thanks for any comments. Carl

Thanks Doug, it was great time, it had been quite a few years since we have been able to put it all toghether like that. My dads hunt was actually in a different unit this year. If you look at the post from my cousin "Hooptie" titled "Great Opening Weekend" in the Other big game forum. Those were at the family campsite.

I see what you guys are seeing as far as the "third point", however after watching the buck for the 45 mins to an hourthat we did, I can assure you that it was just a two by. It was an awsome buck to see for sure. Sure did get my blood pumping.
