You continue to make statements (or in this case, ask a question) that make no sense and have no relevance to the topic. "Do people get tags before the first person in line?" There is not a line! It's a random draw!!! So if I suppose the answer to your question would be NO, people do not get tags before the first person in line because there is no line! Then you make a statement that you don't think that is "right". Well, when you make invalid statements about the current system, then in a way you are actually coming across as very wrong.

Here, too.... Your argument (complaining) is invalid. "....people get tags out of order." Nobody got a tag out of order. There is NO order. It's random. Given it is a random draw, the condition of someone getting something out of order doesn't make sense.

I think it happens VERY fast for the vast majority. Depending on some individual bank posting times and the process to go through declined cards, etc., there can be some outliers, but it seems like the majority is done & dusted. Keep your fingers crossed, Andrew!!!!!

That's a drag. Glad you stuck it out and made the most of it, though. Last year this exact same thing happened to a group of us that do an annual Christmas Tree lake fly trip. Had to adjust last minute, and ended-up on NF land (Big Lake, Black River, etc...). This year, our annual trip was planned weekend before last, so we lucked-out and just beat the closure. In the old days it seemed rare that there were forest closures. These days, it seems like almost an annual occurrence.

True, but to overcome the filibuster they would need 60 votes in the senate. I just can’t imagine that happening, at least not on any legislation that is as radical as banning assault rifles. Possibly some red flag stuff or background check stuff, but Manchin and a few others have been trying to push that type of thing for years and nothing has happened, so we’ll see. With the latest happenings, they might get some of that stuff through. Biden ain’t getting his assault weapon ban though.

Care about what's going on ON the southern border? Absolutely! Care what's going on ACCROSS the southern border (or northern border, in this case), not so much..... Meanwhile, back to this thread, I suppose we'll just see how it plays out, but as in the past I personally doubt anything significant will come of the latest round of talks/bills. Just too impossible to make big/radical change, given the majority required in the senate, IMO.
