Truth Eh.... Instead of a poverty patch featuring a rendering of Tam's cartoon lion on it (That made me laugh,, Hector!), they are now giving poverty stickers with a paw print on it. Probably yes, they likely are both made in China, like most of the other cheap crap out there these days. Yawn....

Like who the heck is going to wear a patch these days? Maybe add it to the sleave of your favorite hunting shirt? 🤣 I'll take a sticker for the back window, bumper or ice chest any day.

Now that I look at it, I guess you're right. I was just noticing the print/track, as opposed to the cartoon lion drawing.

I didn't even know that was a thing. I sort of like the new patch design better. I think it sort of has a 'if you know, you know' feel to it. (I was amazed by the tracking skills of the dog guys I went with on a lion chase, once!)

As a Gambels quail freak, I'll not be completely satisfied without a wet winter plus a nice kicker storm sometime in mid-late Spring (Call me greedy for wanting a double hatch!). But as an AZ native and general fan of rain, I say heck yes to every single drop! 👍

Like a lot of old timers/natives, I've been beat down and disappointed over and over with bullish predictions of rain. I'll bet the under, and will be grateful if I'm wrong.

I've been hiking the AZ Trail with a couple of buddies, and we just hiked sections 40 & 41 on the Kiabab last weekend. Section 40 goes right through the East side of the Kiabab where the Bravo fire burned. The section we hiked just opened back-up last Thursday, and we were the first to hike that section of the AZT post-opening. The fire scar intensity through the portion we hiked was anywhere from severe in portions, to mild/spotty in others. We saw lots of deer and sign all over the burned areas (plus lots of fresh bison sign in the burned area closer to the southern end....). We also saw turkeys and grouse in the spotty burned areas. Pretty amazing how fast the wildlife will move back into burned areas. S.
