Maybe it was just the bonus pass people who got hit first. Now they'll do the draw through the day. Had some of my buddies get their deer tags 3rd 4th and 5th choices drawn in the late afternoon. Happens a lot to us

I have had hits through out the day in the past including last year. Also had an elk hit 3 days later. It wasn't the last tag either. Sometimes just takes time to process

I've had my card and some family members get their cards hit even a day or two after the hits started too

I was looking at the regs and I saw a hunt that I liked that I can draw fairly often in an area I know well. It is a late muzzy hunt. I have no experience with muzzleloaders so i wanted to ask around for possible rifles and gear opinions. I was looking at CVA optima. Also I was really looking at the Remington 700 UML. I heard that the CVA's aren't too good at about the 200 yard mark. But the remmington is much better for long range. What should I get? I am willing to spend the extra money for better gear. But if I can make a setup with the CVA or any other gun for cheaper with about a 200-300 yards range I would rather do that if its cheaper. Thanks guys

I was at sportmens yesterday and I asked them about 209 federal. They said they don't really get those in. But they get the CCI 209 in quite often though which I heard they work pretty decent

Just got my muzzleloader. Added a scope from my 243. It's a vortex diamondback 3-12×40. I am having trouble with the cross hair. Sometimes it can be out of focus. I would like to be able to see the crosshairs and the little pins below the center to learn my bullet drop but they get blury after the first few seconds of looking through. Sometimes I can't even see the cross hair at all. Is this my eye that could be the issue or do I need to focus the scope better?

Would you rather do Teflon tape or the grease that CVA has?

How do you calculate these sorta things?

I just bought a muzzy today online. It's the CVA optima v2. It has a 28 inch barrel, the thumb stock and scope mounts. I am excited to learn about these. One day I will upgrade to the Paramount though!

I am in the Gilbert area as well. I plan on buying an optima because after all the gear it seems a but cheaper. But if possible I would like to learn from you when I do get everything I need. I can pay you as well too for your time

That's freaking insane. What kinda groups do you get at 500? What do you look for in muzzy groups? Usually in rifle I'll try to keep groups within an inch every 100 yards. Would muzzy expectations be the same
