Dang thats crazy man. I was on an early cow hunt with my mom this last season. It was fun calling the Bulls in. I found a nice pocket in 4b with pleanty of elk. Would you recommend a cow tag for early archery? Would that be a waste of 3 points or should I just keep going all in on bull tags?

Gotcha. I got to go to a lotta good units during the rut the last few years. Called in Bulls almost everyday. Freaking insane!

Monsters at red butte. Found this giant near the trailhead. Here is a 234 casing for reference. It's not easy to find bucks. The east side is packed with hunters. Go far west. Less hunters. Only ran into 5 groups on the opening weekend over there. It's a hard hunt. All groups I talked too didn't even see any deer at all. I only saw one truck with a buck in the back. It was a 3x3

I had the tag last year. Saw about 20-30 deer a day and saw maybe 3 bucks. Most deer activity was near the park boundary and near the reservation boundary in the north west portion of the unit. They would run to the closest water source during the first 15 minutes of light or in the last 15 minutes of light each day. Then they would run right back to safety. Deer density is really bad. I had 5 scouting trips and had only seen 4 bucks between all those trips before the hunt. Good luck

Me and my buddy drew 36a early rifle coues. My dad drew 37b first rifle any antler with 0 pts

Gonna go on my first rifle coues deer hunt this year. Wanted to see what kinda season seems best. What are the pros and cons of each one? The units I am looking at are the 36's and I think 34b for a 2nd choice (garunteed draw) with 2pts. Any advice for weather scouting maybe road conditions and gear advice. Thank you!

My brother drew a cow bison tag for this august over on the North Rim. Wanted to get a few tips from the handful of members who also had this hunt on round selection. We have a low budget so buying a 45-70 would not be ideal. Especially since it's a once in a life time bag limit. So I was wondering what some of you guys used on your hunts. I have a 7 mag and a 308 so if those are proficient enough what kinda bullets should I look to use. If you have any other calibers that would be feasible too? Thank you!

I went in a week ago. Used almost everything I had. Went for 5 hours had about 20 fish total. Most of the bites I had were off a 10 inch worm texas rigged. Kept it around 30-35 ft deep. All in the Windy Hill area around that island

Usually itll happen through the week after CC hits. You'll see that mid this week on your portal you'll have a tag number. Then a few days after that you'll have a hunt number too
