270 is also an option for me too! I see that there is the same number but a different name for different calibers. Like there is 300 Mag. Then I see 300 WSM same with the .270 and the 270 WSM what does that mean exactly? And let's say I get the 270, would that gun shoot normal 270 and the WSM?

What about a .308? I am a smaller guy so I would hate to start flinching because I am scared of a big kick. I used to do that from shooting a 30-30 at 9 years old and took me until this year to really get myself under controll. Can a .308 kill an animal as big as a cow bison? Is the 30-06 an option too?

I dont want cams to be banned. I think they are really cool. I like to see how some animals act. I see that it says "for use of taking game/wildlife" how do they know if it is being used for a hunt or not?

So are those just proposals? Or are they voting on those 2 options?

That's a neat idea! Idk how I feel about it l but if you are a good enough hunter you can find the highly trafficked game trail near the water source. And that can easily be enforced! Good thinking!

I see what you're saying and I see why it can be frustrating. The fact is that guides bring a lot of value to these animals. If these animals have no value they would not be here today. They need to have a form of value to put on the animal. That value goes to Game and Fish, then game and fish will regulate when and where to hunt. Without game and fish there would be extinct animals across the country. Look at where buffalo's once were. Now look at them today. Same with turkey, elk and deer

I dont understand the issue with the cameras though. It allows for more mature bucks to be harvested during the season. Wouldnt that make management better? Yeah those guides have a ton of cameras in those photos but how much country do we have to hunt on? What issue is being fixed in an amazing hunting state?
