Gotcha! I have a Nikon range finder. Imma test it at the shooting range tomorrow and see if its accurate at like 200-300 yards! My goal is to be comfortable at 300 but I get so excited when i see any deer i start shaking so 300 is an absolute limit for me!

I might use a heavier bullet for the punch. Something like 95 grain. And yes I really wanna use nonlead due to the condors up there!

Awesome! Does lead do more damage to the animal due to how soft the metal is? Or can a nonlead bullet be more fatal or the same result?

I have a late season unit 10 bull elk tag for archery. I just got a late 12AW mule deer hunt and I can do both. But I want my brother to go on his first hunt and I wanna transfer my tag to him. I am 19 and he is 17 so he is still a "youth" hunter. On fish and games website it says I can transfer it to him as long as I am a parent or a guardian. I am not a registered guardian but does an older brother count as one? Will it work at all? Thank you!
