Is 44 S&W the same thing as 44 Special?
-
If all else fails you can send it back to manufacturer and they will remove it.

I believe he's asking tube size. Are you sure that's not a 30mm tube? Since it's a VX-III and not a vari-X III with side focus, I thought those were all 30mm on the long range model.

I can't get the pics to enlarge so can't really tell what the bullets and redding dies are.

The one qc is closed.

You will have to either have custom dies made ($$$) or use a mixture of dies to reload the round. Possibly use a 357 full length sizer to size the body then use a Hornady 22 SHORT neck die or 22PPC neck die to size the neck. To seat the bullet i'm not sure , possibly a 22ppc or 256 win mag seater. It may also be call the 22 Jet Ackley Improved. Good luck. One other thing, if the rifle was originally a 22 jet the bore may be .223 instead of .224. I don't believe the 22 Jet was ever offered in anything but the S&W revolver so it should be .224.

That looks like a rechamber from a different caliber (caliber ground off and renamed). You probably need to make a chamber cast to see what it is. It could be some ones wildcat that would need special dies. As Cazador stated there is the standard 22 Jet but I've never heard it called "super jet" before. Too bad you weren't able to get the dies or a fired/live round to see what the case actually looks like or what the parent case is.

It's the sierra 40 gr hollow point. The Hornady 35 gr vmax will fit as well.
-
Top for Ruger 77/22 to fit magazine. Bottom for single shot Ruger number 3. Both 40 gr.

Did you try a different brand of brass? I have 2 22K Hornets and never had any split neck issues, Never have annealed them either. Hornet brass is extremely thin, I use Remington and Winchester brass which may be softer than the Nosler.

When I picked up a couple pistols from him was pretty crochity through the entire dealings but while we were exchanging funds he opened up and said he had cancer and was trying to liquidate his firearms so his family would have to. I think if I was dying and had to give up my toys too boot I probably wouldn't be a ray of sunshine either. He always did say what he was thinking even though we might not agree. I'll miss him either way.

call 480-209-0816 no text or e-mail... Jeff doesn't do anything but phone calls. Give him a call to look at it, he lives in QC as well.

The Marlin 1894 CL was made from 1990 till 1993 in 218 bee, 25-20 and 32-20. The 218 Bee is rarest of the 3 and is bringing a lot more than the seller is asking when you can find one. I have all 3 and they are sweet little rifles. Hornady is now producing factory ammo and brass for the Bee which is a good thing.

I have a couple XP-100 in 221 FB and I would definitely not use them on coues deer unless you plan to only take shots under a hundred yards and can place the bullet perfectly even then I would not do it. Lots better choices and the 10.75" barrel will really hinder your velocities with the heaviest bullet you could use which is 55gr. Use it on varmints and enjoy or sale it to me.

Good luck to every one trying to get a left over tag. We still have a glimmer of hope at least till about Tuesday.
-
Yea the deer tags are gone. They updated the list twice today.
-
Any one else getting any tags? They still show tags left for some of my choices but nothing on my portal account. Not looking good.
-
Congrats, that was my first choice but nothing on the portal yet.
-
Does anybody know when you apply for a left over tag if they only look at your first 2 choices or if they go through all 5 choices if entered? Thanks
