Rifle options - recommendations wanted

Tikka's are tough to beat for the $. Down sides are there is only one action size and the bottom metal and magazine are plastic. However, the action will be smooth as glass and will feed/cycle effortlessly. The factory trigger is pretty decent as well and the barrels typically shoot good and clean easy. It doesn't hurt that the .223 barrels are 1 in 8 twist. -
I have a Final Approach Legacy. It was the Cadillac of layout blinds with lots of room. I also have a snow camo cover for it. $150 and it's yours!

I'll take the Remington. PM me your contact info and we can work out the details. Thanks! Schmitty

The elk will move off the flats and into the thicker pj over the next few weeks as the rut winds down. Find some points where you can glass into the more heavily vegetated hill sides, preferably with a fair amount of cliffrose and you'll turn up some bulls. Finding a a good one that's still intact is going to be more challenging. Good luck!

WTS - Tikka After-Market Rail, Bottom Metal & Ring/Base Combo

I'll take the rail with 2nds on the bottom metal. -
I was up there 2 weeks ago.. It was like a convection oven with 30 mph winds @ 107°. Wet waded the entire time and never got cold. There's no wonder why LFA doesn't update their fishing reports. Caught a number of fish, but mostly all drinks. SAD! Especially compared to the first time I fished the Ferry as a 12 year old in 1987 when the average fish was 18" with a few over 24".

I will take them. PM inbound.

I have a 20 MOA base on this particular rifle, though that has nothing to do with the scope's limitations. The BT turret on the Swaro Z5 is designed to have 4 set zero's that are adjustable by the scope owner along with an adjustable zero stoop. The outdoorsman's and others offer a custom turret (mine is just a plain 1/4 MOA dial), but the design of the turret only gives you a maximim 13.25 MOA of adjustment upwards from the zero stop. It's a great scope, great optics, huge eyebox, reliable and repeatable (I've had it for 10 years now on my primary deer rifle with nary a problem) and the 4w reticle is simple and very functional. For me, the 13ish MOA keeps my hunting shots to under 750 yards which is probably about as far as I should be shooting @ animals with a 6.5x47.

Only issue with the Swarovski Z5 is that their turret will only dial up 14.25 MOA. I have one and it's a great scope but I can only shoot out to 725 yards with my 6.5x47.
