I just picked up a Foxpro model 416 off Ebay. I want to get the PG-1A adapter in order to record my own sounds on it and was wondering if anyone had one they would sell or borrow. The call came with a bunch of waterfowl sounds and I want to swap them with predator calls. Thanks, Jay

I can understand your feeling on TCs but at the same time have to completly disagree. I have found since my addiction to trail cams has started I find myself in the field ALOT more than I used to. You still are using and honing the same skills as you were before. Theres a lot of scouting that goes into just setting up a trail cam. Finding a right area, and for the reason of not wanting to get the cam stolen I have found it makes me explore more of the backcountry. Now on the same note, the cams that send the pictures to your email in realtime might be crossing the line IMO. Jay

Im in the same boat as you guys. One thing I started doing this year is hauling the whole family out there. Its become kind of a family trip. The kids really get a kick out of seeing whats coming in on the cams and its an excuse to get them outside and away form the TV.

I have learned to use road hunters to my advantage. There ARE areas that those elk/deer go to get away. Find those places and youll do just fine. The kind of road hunter that does piss me off is the one I encountered last week. I was driving into work about 7:30 down hwy 180. Going about 60mph I come over a small rise and there is a truck doing about 20. I slammed on my brakes and looked to pass in order not to slam into the back of them. As I started to move over another car came over the hill the opposite direction. As I rapidly approached the tailgate of the truck I saw the eyes in his rear view. Thank god he looked up and cranked the wheel to the shoulder! As I passed it was obviously 2 road hunters.That pisses me off.

Allright, For the past few years I keep saying that I want to get out and get a bear but with Elk and Deer tags, priorties for scouting went elswhere. This year I have been scouting hard and have located some travel corridors and also have some pics of some bruins on my TC. These Bears seem to move through everyother week or so ( at least what my cams are telling me) so I was planning on setting up in these areas. I plan on still hunting mostly because glassing really isnt an option and was planning on doing some calling as well. Are there any in particular distress sounds that work best for bears? I was thinking about picking up a used Foxpro and was also curious on your guys's take on them. I wanted to do some more callin this year anyway so I figured it would be a good investment. Well these little suckers seem to be my nemisis. Been out calling quite a few times with no success and gave my fair share of warning shots in the past but finally connected on a yote last night. My wife had some homework to work on so Maty and I headed out to do some glassing for deer. Threw the rifle in just in case and turned out to be a good thing. Maty was pretty excited about it considering shes been out calling with me a few times without seeing anything. Hopefully someday she will be the one out there shooting and Ill be watching her.

My wifes grandparents live in Beaver valley Estates and they have been evacuated. Thats some thick brushy country down there hope they get a hold of it.

Well, the last few years have been a little bit of a rollercoaster for me. My background is Construction managment but I was laid off the end of last year from a commercial GC. I had an opportunity to work for AEC Electric, an Electrical Contractor here in Flag so I jumped at the opportunity to move back up the hill. We are commercial electrical Contractor mostly but I am spearheading a new Wind and Solar division, doing small residential to large scale commercial applications. We also recently became a dealer for a new Vertical Axis Wind turbine. We do work state wide, so if you ever need anything let me know! If anyone is familiar with HWY 180 heading up to the Grand Canyon and the White Buffalo Im two houses north of the WB. So if ya see the gray F150 in the driveway with the CWT sticker honk or stop in! Sounds like a great hunt. I made a few trips up there and have to say it is a blast. Gonna try and head back next year. The grouse pics just make me remember how those thing can scare the crap out of you when you kick one up. Especially in the middle of a stalk! Thanks for posting Jay
