My buddy Rob (basser15) had one of these on our pig hunt last weekend. I lost my rangefinder case so i have been trying to figure something better than my pocket. This thing is pretty handy for sure. It will be one of my next purchases! Jay

haha, that must have been another sticker you saw. my wife doesnt have one one her car but she sent me the pic. Ive seen a few around town.

Thanks for the comments everyone. Coues sniper- are you talking about Ron's Sitka gloves? I just have cheapy Red head ones and they work OK. I ususally dont wear it on my trigger hand though. One another side note, My wife got me a Havalon knife from Amanda and I have to say that they are incredible! I would definatly reccomemd one!

Seems like that was the report from a lot of the other pig hunters too. Hopefully we locate some pigs before the hunt. Going to take the kids out this year so it should be fun. Good luck!

Hey, Just wondering if any of you had had any luck rattling or using a decoy on a Coues? Watched a show the other day and they rattled a little coues buck in an it got me thinking. Jay

Seems like most of the time they are destroyed, but if its still in descent shape I put it in the last spot in my quiver. I figure its a good arrow to use to finish something off If needed.

Good point. Guess its like any other type of calling. Sometimes they come runnin or sometimes they GO runnnin. One question I did have is the amount of calling to do. Particularly a grunt call. Elk is easier to judge because they are so vocal but I cant say Ive seen much vocal interaction with deer. It makes sense to adjust your calling by the reaction of the animal, but Im just looking for general info that you guys have seen work and not.

Ive been looking for a compact spotter and saw the Vortex Impact. Has anyone ever used one? What are your thoughts? Jay

Do you have any pointers? Do's and dont's? Do you use a buck grunt or doe can? Do you usually glass them up and work in an call or do you set up blind?

Nope. Doesnt need to be plugged. (pretty sure, not 100% though) Pretty sure it has to be plugged if your hunting migratory birds ( dove, ducks etc)

Man those prices arent that bad though. Ive heard great things on the bighorns as well, i just cringe at the price tag. If you do go with them let us know how they are. I need some new shoes for my ranger too.
