    Roosavelt Lake

Good luck on the lake tomorrow. The wife and I were heading that way tonight but I checked my bearings and found they needed changing so I did one side today and the other tomorrow then we will be on our way. Save some fish for us and take lots of pictures. TJ
  2. Seems like everyone is having some fun with playing designer and it's been fun looking at all the defferent designs. All the shirts look good but I'm still hooked on Jim's #3. I'm not a fan of having someone's name and score of the buck on my shirt and I would not buy one unless it had all english on it as well. Someone would ask me what it said and I wouldn't remember. TJ

    Calculating Draw odds

I can honestly say I wish each and everyone of you draw your tags of choice this year. Slim and none doesn't sound like good odds Bownut. May the hunting gods pull your tag this year. I know there are those who want an elk tag for a certain unit or nothing at all because there are more trophy elk in them units. You will go years not hunting and that was your choice going into the draw knowing quite well the situation. I feel for each of you but that's your choice. Then there are those who just like to hunt elk and play the odds and get drawn on a regular bases and enjoy the success of drawing frequently. I would rather be in the second catagory. In my opinion it's not holding out for a trophy or else, it's about hunting and sharing the hunt with family and friends each year and that to me outweighs sitting at home sad eyed about not getting drawn again because the trophy is more important to you than the hunt itself. Just my opinion. Good luck to everyone on their antelope and elk tags. TJ

    Please Welcome Archery Headquarters

Archery Headquarters has a great group of guys and they do a really great job of helping you out on whatever your needs. Their service can't be beat. I bought a bow there for my brother a few years ago and sent my friend Jackshoe there and know they both were very happy with the service they received. I highly recommend them. Thanks Randy for your sponsorship to cwt.com TJ
  8. If you're going to sell the beer glass then there has to be a shot glass to go with it. If not, then it would be like coues deer without antlers. TJ
  9. Does it come with beer? I'll take one. TJ
  10. Out of all the designs so far my vote goes to Jim's #3 for what it's worth and why not leave the #1 coues site in the world. It is a fact you know! TJ

    bowfishing finally

Looks like a bunch of fun. Does she work at the Payson hospital? I was doing a phone survey the other day of what I thought of the Payson hospital, while in for my appendix, and could not think of the girl's name that was so helpful and kind. I told the surveyer that she bow hunted and her father worked for the fire department. I hoped that would be enough information for the surveyer to figure out her name and get her a very nice commendation. TJ
  12. Here is a picture of our newest cwt member. She is 6 weeks old and has taken to this cwt shirt. Her name is Lexie Mae and she is a yellow lab. I can't wait to start training her. Lexie Mae Joiner TJ

    Unit 37B Water Catchment Project

Thought I would bring this back up since there were no replies to your post here Amanda. It was about this time last year that some of us helped on a similar project in the same area. For those of you that haven't helped on one of these projects I can assure you you will go away feeling good about yourself for helping out something so worthwhile for the wildlife in the area. Not to speak of the free meal the g&f will provide for you on saturday night. Last year Ben cooked tortilla soup that was to die for. To be able to sit around a camp fire at the end of a hard days work and share conversation with fellow hunters, Amanda, and g&f employees was the highlite of last years project for me. Amanda, maybe you could post a few pictures of last years project if you still have the photos. Is anyone planning on going? TJ

    ABA Banquet success

Congratulations on the cash and winning the javelina tag. If you guys need any help on the pig tag I have a pair of 15x56's that need some hours put on them and would love to tag along. Does Kathi have a year to hunt them? That's just awesome she gets to do it again. What a nice husband. TJ

Good looking dogs Casey. I'll keep that in mind. How old is Charlie and does he take after you? TJ
  20. Man, I really love that rendering of Grong's buck that Rembrant did. No matter what, I will eventually be getting some kind of shirt with that deer on it. I love it!! Wish we could get that one on a design everyone liked. Amanda I have to agree with you on Grong's buck. It definately has to be on whatever design you choose. It looks awesome. TJ
  21. I like the t-shirts you have now over any of these. Sorry, you probably didn't want to hear that but you asked. IMO I have been meaning to ask you Amanda for some time now and this post made me remember. Have you ever thought about a dress shirt with a collar? Just thought they would be a little more formal at some of the banquets. Just a thought. TJ

    San Carlos Crappie

I bought an annual permit last year but refuse to pay their price this year if they actually went up another $50. Did the daily permits go up as well? I really like fishing San Carlos but they might have just reached my limit that I will pay. Sad that they have to be so money hungry. TJ The daily permits are still the same price and are for 24 hours from the time you buy them. The annuals are getting expensive but for me, as much as I go year round, the annual price still saves me quite a bit of money. As for the fishing I was there thursday and as the saying goes should have been the day before. It was slow for everyone. Got blowed off the lake at 1 pm. The day before people said the bite was better with everyone catching some fish but no huge numbers, most were in the low teens. Brian Thanks for the update Brian. I'm sure glad to hear the daily permit hasn't changed. Can't wait to get on the water. TJ
