    Glassing from the roof

Don't tell your cousin she thinks I am working long days but I think she has a hunch since the binos are always in the truck on my dash. Now that sounds like a good job to me. How do you get any work done with the game that close? That would drive me nuts. I would definately get fired for sure. TJ

Thanks Brent but I'm no where close to being a gentleman. I just can't get enough of being in the woods. My wife saids I have a sickness. TJ I don't think there is a cure for our sickness, except to just spend more time in the woods! Amen Brother!

    1st Coues buck Jan. 2009

Congratulations on your NM buck. He's a nice one. TJ
  4. I was glassing years ago in the 3bar area when I felt something crawling up against my chest. As I raised my binos to see what it was, I found myself starring straight in the eyes of a green racer. On the very next day I had the same type of snake craw up my pants while I was sitting glassing for deer. I don't know how I stayed so calm as I looked down at it's tail sticking out of my pant's leg. Yes, I am spooked now everywhere I go. TJ

    elk rut

I didn't put in for the Dec hunt because of the odds. Oct wt. I'ld be living there if it wasn't for the money and I'm to close to retirement to leave my job. I do spend most of my time off up in the rim county. You guys that live there are lucky to have it and yes I'm jealous. TJ

  10. Ilene, what better way to end your success hunt by helping out that 13 yr old on his first bull elk. That was awesome of you to do such a great deed and you will be rewarded many great hunts from the hunting Gods because of it. He will always remember that and he will pass that on to another hunter some day. TJ

    Callin Bears

I was fortunate to call a bear in for myself and made a kill and haven't really wanted to kill another but have called in a few for friends. I used the circe cottontail. I think I'm getting the itch to do it again after seeing some nice trail cam pictures. Calling for 45 minutes to an hour is the key. Good luck! TJ
