anyone elase with a 22 south muzzy elk tag?
tjhunt2 replied to AZLance's topic in Muzzleloader hunting for Coues Deer
Congratulations on a really nice looking bull. I accidently put in and got drawn for 22s last year and found it has some awesume bulls and after alot of scouting know it is a great place to have a tag. Thanks for sharing. TJ -
A big congratulations! TJ

Man, that sounded like a great time and congratulations on your bull. Having good friends and your Dad on the hunt just couldn't have gotten any better unless your Dad could have scored but that is hunting. I'm sure he felt as successful as you knowing you scored. Thanks for sharing Clay. TJ

I just got back from Sportsmans and would like to thank all the ones who came out and bought items in support of Amanda. I now can put some faces with the members I met and it was my pleasure to have met you today. Here are a couple of pictures to share with those who couldn't make it by. TJ -

Yes, a crossbow is allowed on an archery hunt as long as you have a crossbow permit. I actually had one last year and took a deer, turkey, elk, and a javelina this Jan with it. I had rotator cup surgery and wasn't able to pull my bow and G&F issued me a permit after my doctor fill out the nessessary paper work of being disable 90% in one arm. You would have not known I was disabled by looking at me so it's possible the guy you saw was legal to do so as well. Hope this is some help towards your question on crossbows. TJ

Casey, if it took three shots then you're doing it all wrong. You get close enough for the snake to want to strike at you and just after you pi$$ him off you fire a shot near his head and he will strike the bullet which in turn kills the snake with one shot. It has worked for me everytime. TJ

Brocks Broken arm Antelope
tjhunt2 replied to desertsheep's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in New Mexico
I big congratulations to Brock on his antelope and a nice one at that. He's got to be pretty tough to get out there and go though all that with a broken arm and still pull off a successful hunt. My hats off to you young man and your Dad. Now go get that elk and be sure and keep us updated on your hunt. TJ -
This is what we need more of in our sport. Thanks for sharing with us on the boy's success and most of all thanks for helping our next generation of hunters. Keep up the good job there guys. TJ
