Help name my new hunting buddy!
tjhunt2 replied to Coues Sniper's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
This young dog has the looks of a " I want to be a big boy already" so my pick is Jake cause all those jakes I see walk around look like they want to be the big boss gobbler already. Make any sense? Oh well! I'd go with Jake. TJ -

Thanks for sharing. I just hate it when my pigs get killed that away. TJ -
Happy Birthday and may all your wishes come true on this day. TJ

IHunt2live........ sounds like the seep could turn out to be a good spot for ya. Check it out and if it's being hit then see if there is a good spot for a ground blind. Good luck! TJ

KGAINS, Enjoyed reading your reply back to whatever group this may be. +1 on this one TJ

Amanda, I finally got some time to view your new owl video. Very nice. That has got to be exciting being behind the camera and catching these beautiful birds on film. Thanks for sharing. I really liked the music that you put with it. PM sent! TJ

Casey, what kind of plant is that in the upper right hand corner. That wasn't a good move. Is it legal now? Oh yea, nice gun! TJ

Snapshot, Glad to be of some help. Hope your hand is healing alright. I, for the life of me, don't understand why some of the guys on here clam up when it comes to a little information. 1. Favorite hunting tactic during the early season....water holes because I can sit longer in a good ground blind. 2. Elevation around 5,000ft..... mostly whitetail. 3. I have sat many of days from daylight till dark but have found 9am thru 2pm to be the most active when most hunters are back in camp napping. Mid day here in Az can be a sauna in a blind. 4. The best advantage and overall success to my hunts.....Definitely the time I spend out in the field. Most hunters I know spend more time in camp than actually hunting in the field. That goes for the bunch I hunt with as well. 5. Opinions on the changing archery hunt structures.....I'm not happy about it but we all knew it was coming. We have had it pretty darn good here in AZ. It's not the end of the world. I wish more hunters would be more positive than negative, every time there is a change, and let time speak for itself. Snapshot, hope this can be of some help. TJ

Morning Jim, two years ago the wind nocked over my tripod with my 10x50 swar. and they got out of focus. I called the rep and told them exactly what happened and they said there might be a small charge depending on what they found once inside. I had them back in 4 weeks at no charge to me, not even shipping. You can't beat that! Now I have their big brother the 15x56 and will be a little more careful how I handle them. Some might think these glasses are fragle but the truth being is they aren't. Mine hit a rock with alot of force. Jim, good luck in all your hunting adventures this year. TJ

I just happen to get this wildview camera in a feeder package by mistake and finally found a sd card that will work in it. Talk about a challenge. Most stores just don't sell them that small. Had to go with a 512MB PNY. Has anyone used one of these? I know you get what you pay for but if they work then I might buy a couple more and not worry about the thieves. It's the cheapest camera they make. TJ -
Jim, that pic of you, fish, and bird is awesome. One of a kind. Thanks for sharing. TJ

Wow, both of these deer are definitely a trophy of a life time in anyone's book. Thanks for sharing. Can't wait to hang a few more cams. Just have to purchase them. TJ -
Rumor has it a UPS truck was parked on their front door step when they opened yesterday. What do you make of that? TJ

I just spent the whole day refreshning most of my spots and hung only one camera but you can count me in. Found a new spot that I hope will produce the big one this year. Can't get over how dry everything was today. After several pack-ins this old boy won't be moving well in the morning. TJ -
Congratulations to you and the family. Nothing but the best for you all. TJ

Got one that looks just like it. BEAUTIFUL! TJ -
Welp it usually happens between 30 and 40 day's from the deadline so I am going with July 17th as my guess. My bet is on July 18 for sure. I will be one happy sheep hunter. TJ

I checked this morning and the phone lines still have the 07 results. What's up with that? After hearing of all the successful applicants I just couldn't wait to hear what I got. I will be at their office Monday morning when they open. Why am I the only one who can't find out my results? Sorry for the interruption but my wife just woke me and asked why I was shaking and sweating so profusely.. She thought I was having a heart attack. HEAR i GO AGAIN! I hate this time of year, but, has anyone heard??????

Webber, thanks for sharing your buck with us. They did a great job. I really like the spread he has and your other one is nice as well. TJ

Count me out. Plain & simple...not enough money in the pocket at these gas prices. Hope everyone has a great time and take lots of pictures. TJ

Jason, my fingers are crossed for ya. TJ

Heck no.......I tried my darndest to catch up to him, but he beat me fair and square. It was embarrasing too 'cause he was using a plain ol' Senko rigged wacky style on a jig head!!! What's up with that!!! I threw everything I had and even tried to fish with the same wacky rig he was using, but I just didn't work it right I guess He knew what he was doing though, he pre-fished the weekend prior so I say it was an unfair victory for him We did end up putting about 40 fish in the boat all together though! What, no pictures? You're always good for a couple pics. Let's see'em! TJ

At first I had some concern with wackem's size but shot them and found they shoot better than anything I've tried. I have been using them since a worker at Archery Headquarters told me he used them on his bear hunt in Alaska. They have killed a half dozen or so critters for me without any problems the past few years. I have not shot the G5 striker or the tricks. TJ

I work at the Chandler Watertreatment Plant off Pecos Rd. I was in maintenance for years and have spent the last 5 in operations. On 8 off 6! D-BACKS certainly are having a tuff go of it lately. TJ
