Count me out. Plain & simple...not enough money in the pocket at these gas prices. Hope everyone has a great time and take lots of pictures. TJ

Jason, my fingers are crossed for ya. TJ

Heck no.......I tried my darndest to catch up to him, but he beat me fair and square. It was embarrasing too 'cause he was using a plain ol' Senko rigged wacky style on a jig head!!! What's up with that!!! I threw everything I had and even tried to fish with the same wacky rig he was using, but I just didn't work it right I guess He knew what he was doing though, he pre-fished the weekend prior so I say it was an unfair victory for him We did end up putting about 40 fish in the boat all together though! What, no pictures? You're always good for a couple pics. Let's see'em! TJ

At first I had some concern with wackem's size but shot them and found they shoot better than anything I've tried. I have been using them since a worker at Archery Headquarters told me he used them on his bear hunt in Alaska. They have killed a half dozen or so critters for me without any problems the past few years. I have not shot the G5 striker or the tricks. TJ

I work at the Chandler Watertreatment Plant off Pecos Rd. I was in maintenance for years and have spent the last 5 in operations. On 8 off 6! D-BACKS certainly are having a tuff go of it lately. TJ

Well, I decided I would work a 12 hour shift at the Watertreatment Plant today so all the Fathers could swim in their pools and drink water. I do get on here every couple hours during my water labs. Hope everyone has a great Father's Day. TJ

I think you meant Journal Thanks Troy, with me you have to read between the lines and I see you're good at it. I don'e need spell check with you around. Happy Father's Day! TJ

That's funny right there. What better way to break in your new fishing rig. Thanks for sharing and don't forget to have them youngins start a fishing journey so they can remember this trip when they're your age. Just think of all the memories you are about to accumulate. TJ

Gary is one of four new inductees who will be honored into the class of 2008. Along with Gary Barcom is Duane Shroufe, L.V. Yates, and Chandler Rod and Gun Club. The reason I point out Gary is because I had the pleasure of meeting him on Gamehauler's sheep hunt and Gary left me with an ever lasting expression of one who trully cares for helping others and his enthusiasm for the great outdoors. I had the pleasure of sitting with Gary one day while watching one of the sheep Gamehauler shot and was treated to a one on one seminar of sheep 101. I would like to congratulate Gary Barcom and all the other inductees for their contributions. Not only have their services benefited Arizona's fish & wildlife and their habitats but everyone's as well. Maybe someone else, who knows Gary or any other inductee, would like to comment. TJ

Start The Wait,Does It Make A Difference ?

I will have to disagree with ya on this one. I will get the numbers for us and post em in the next day or so. I use to think the samething but after talking with some people in the draw department they gave me the overall numbers of the total people that applied over the last few years and regardless of paper or online they were within a nats a$$ of each other. I do think that the economy will have a impact on the draw this year as well especially Bighorn. Troy and Jim, you both bring up good points. I do know hunters who don't have the money but will transfer money from a credit card to pay up front and then I know hunters who depend on Dad to fork the money over until the draw is over. If not drawn then the money goes back on the credit card and sweet old Dad gets his as well, with not much out of pocket expense to the not so lucky hunter. Those who trully want to hunt will find away no matter what. Good luck to everyone on the draw no matter how hard I pray you don't take my sheep tag. With the help of a VoooDooo Witch Doctor I put a curse on all sheep hunters applying for 24B west. TJ -

Wow, sounded like a good time. There is no way I could have carried that pack. Even without the camera I could see the bear as you told it. I had a similar situation years ago, back in the superstitions, and brought back memories I had forgotten. Thanks for sharing. TJ

Thanks for sharing some of the work you have been doing with g&f. This must be a blast to actually be part of. I'm enjoying listening to all the info. Thanks! TJ

I asked my wife where she would like to go for our anniversary and she said fishing so we're heading to Bartlett in the morning and I was wondering which road (Scottsdale or Pima) off the 101 is best. We will be coming from Mesa.I also heard there was two Pima exits. Would anyone like to comment on this? Thanks and I'll post some pics if we catch some fish. TJ

Casey, maybe we better team and go on the road. TJ

Mikep35, your girlfriend can put her own climbing treestand up and also shoots a bow and she is only your girlfriend? She is remarkable and rare for these days. Don't let this one get away unless she can out shoot you. TJ -
Peg and I beat the sun to Bartlett but not by much. If there was a top water bite we missed it. Fishing was fun but the catching sucked. We had a great time as always. Peg catches a 2 pounder and I ended up with 1 bass shown below. I have spent 3hours on here this morning trying to figure out photobucket from Bass's instructions and have had it. (Not Bass's fault) I really do hate these computers. Here is a couple pics but not resized and I apoligize but will figure it out one of these days. sunrise at Bartlett...notice the bird? the best I could do Peg's lucky fish. I taught her does that count?

Thanks Jim, it's been a long fought battle, 31 yrs., but she is finally trained. She wants to go fishing instead of a movie. Praise the Lord! The hard part is waking her now at 4am missedagain, Josh, & GKAINES.....pima rd it is and again thanks for the info and fishing tip. GONE FISHING, TJ

TJ, I think the main thing with that is you are only hearing what the Gross score is.....the Net score which counts for the books is rarely mentioned. Also the tape stretchers do their best at turning a good buck into a great buck all the time. There are the ones that just don't get entered too and there are a bunch of those out there. Lastly, there is a long time between printed record books and the big critters killed lately and entered just haven't been printed yet. Thanks for the information as always. TJ
-
Jim, you would know what the record coues is I'm sure. I'm confused here at all these bucks in the 130 to 160 class. Do these really exist and why aren't they in the record book. I guess I have a lot to learn about these big bucks. Wow, TJ
