I heard that the hunter had more money than all of us put together and had offered to buy the house from the people on the spot where the elk ended up dying. He even said he would pay off their morgage for them. I'm not to sure as to the trueth of all that. TJ

I'm quite aware that there are a lot of outfitters and quides on this site so just let me say up front, "nothing personal." If you have the bucks you can hire a guide or outfitter to do all your work for you and just show up to shoot a buck they already have scouted....."I'm not saying there is anything wrong with this." Maybe a category for guided/unguided? Just a thought! TJ

On the same note I'am not impressed with my exsperience with SCI. thanks Jeremy Ulmer Cory....I see you have deleted your post. I know you meant well posting a maybe 134 and some change. You even complimented the buck by calling it a MONSTER buck along with saying how nice it was to have met Jeremy. You go on complimenting this awesome buck and Jeremy by saying the pictures don't do it justice but you get slammed instead of a thank you? Jeremy.... you have taken a truely trophy coues that anyone of us would be proud to have hanging on our wall. Once again congratulations. If indeed SCI has made a mistake in scoring your buck then I hope it gets it's justice(Pope & Young) but lets see before any finger pointing. TJ

Taking out the application fee might constitute accepting the application. Most likely, they would be returned unopened to Cabelas. OK, here is what we need to do. Spread the word out to all nonres. to be sure and put in through the services of Cabelas. We might as well get a few residents to do the same. I'm sure there will be a few we can fool. Odds will be on our side next year. TJ

When you took on the job of a measurer I'm sure you knew you weren't going to get compensated and you wouldn't measure a buck for someone just for the heck of it?
