    Roy's First Coues Hunt

Congrat. on a fine looking deer. Great picture of them both. GTT.... I hope your son draws his deer tag. I would like to see G&F give every first time youth a tag without drawing. Like that is going to happen. Good luck!

    Swarovski Warranty Info

Thanks for that information Doug, I am asked all the time about their warranty. I sent my 10x50 back last year after the wind nocked over my tripod and nocked the adjustment off really bad. I didn't think they could be repaired but they repaired and cleaned them at no cost to me and I did not have a receit or have them registered. That means alot in buying their product. TJ

    they're up

Are you pulling our leg? I just checked and found nothing and called and they aren't available yet either. Got my blood flowing for a while.
  4. Talk about a nucklehead. At 2 pm I read about the meeting and talk about reading between the lines. I told my wife I was late but I could get there before it was over and ran out the door. I got Sportsman Wharehouse on Greenfield in Mesa out of that message somehow. After SW informed me they knew nothing I then called G&F and the fellow I talked to didn't know anything about such meeting either. Then I called GH and he read it off his computer while I waited in the parking lot and I then thought to myself that I wasn't suppose to get this way until I got old. My wife said when I got home, "It doesn't surprise me." Must be the heat! TJ

    Crazy Pets

: .... guess there is no way of knowing for sure but I think I saw the little bugger a couple of times right there.... He was a way cool pet... . Don't worry, let your wife know that I saw him this weekend while scouting 5a with a friend. He has moved into my buddy's property and now has a girlfriend. They really seemed to be having a great time chasing each other around the trees. They won't shoot any squirrels on their place so he should live out a full and happy life. I reviewed your pictures again and he is yours. Please inform your wife that everything is ok. Hey Gino, I forgot to add to the above reply that Nelson is going to be a Daddy. His girlfriend was looking aweful fat.

Younghunter...that's great that you got an elk tag and I know how excited you must be. Your first elk hunt ever and 19 yrs old. What I would give to have both! I probably don't have to tell you how important it is to put in your home work. I've gone though different fazes over the years, trophy or meat, and you will to. I know you would like to shoot a big elk, don't we all, but don't be influenced by what someone else wants you to shoot. When the right bull comes along you will know it. I won't go into it now but I have seen to many young hunters quit huinting because Dad wouldn't let his son or daugther shoot something because it wasn't what Dad wanted. I hope you shoot the biggest elk in the state but if not that will be ok to. Have a safe & enjoyable hunt. Keep a journal of your day's activities. Good luck!

m77, you got the right to your opinion and thanks for bringing us up out of our chairs. One more question before I exit. You wouldn't mess with any salt you find since you think it is unethical or screw with any of our tree stands would you? fourpoint, thanks for starting this topic. I couldn't wait to see what everyone was going to say after m77 unleashed. TJ

The only reason GH wants his girls in new boots is so they can pack out his elk for him.

Ya mean like this dill hole. That's my salt in his hand. Hey DILL HOLE, you owe me $2.47. To bad you didn't get his face to post. Try Walmart, $1.88 for the brick.

m77, I will agree with the permanitly attached tree stands but that's it. Are you talking about Arizona? You aren't the only one who thinks that way I'm sure. Where is this in writing so I can catch up on the rules. Maybe it's me who is the unethical hunter in the woods but I don't think so. Thanks for your opinion and looking forward to reading where the law is written. TJ

I have been putting salt out for many years. Sounds to me like you have talked to this person and he doesn't want you to hunt it. No brainer here, don't hunt it. Have I hunted other salt licks I've found, you bet and I have walked in to mine and found hunters actually in my tree stands. Just because a person has a salt lick out doesn't mean he owns the woods but I would respect his territory if he is hunting it and find another spot. Let him know you won't mess with it and I have found most times they will say go ahead and hunt it as long as I'm not there. I have actually told the person in my treestand to go ahead and hunt the morning out in it but also told them I expect to be hunting there the rest of the season. Boy, do they get a surprise to find your not mad and you say good luck and walk away. Yes, I might be disappointed but I have found it's better to not make a hassle out of it and go to my back up spot. More than likely they offer to get out. If it is your only spot then politely tell them they can stay in your stand but you will have to remove the steps so you can use them on your other spot. There is plenty of woods so go build your own honey hole and expect someone to find it because they will. The one thing that will T me off is the bum that steals my salt block. That's another story.

Yes bobbyo, that is why there wasn't enough tags for you this year. Only three bull elk! It's got to be your turn next year. Let me be the first to say Good Luck on your next year elk tag.

    New AZ arch deer dates!

I haven't looked if it changed back this year but the last couple of years in 22 we had deer, squirrel, and hound hunters chasing lion & bear during our 22 archery elk hunt. I also thought it was closed for non elk tag holders until I asked a game warden. It didn't cause a problem for anyone in our party except a couple squirrel hunters walking in to hunt on one of our water holes we were sitting. They politely left and I would had done the same if they had been there first. If you get off the road, put in your home work, you can get away from most of the overlap hunters. People in general don't like changes but I feel if we all work together and get rid of some of the negitivity, and try to use some positive thinking, we just might settle alot more issues with G&F instead of hating everything they do. That's just my opinion and I'll keep an open mind. G&F isn't going to please everyone. Maybe I'm to soft on G&F but after 17 staight archery tags I'm loving life. TJ ps Kock On Wood!

    I know I'm a redneck

That plant in the second picture looks like some funny weed I hear about growing in the hills around Payson. What's the chance of getting that new species on your trail camera? Any idea what they call them and is the one on the right albino? Good find!

    GAmehauler and tj

I just knew someone would recognize us, It was eigther the hitch or the 24 cases of beer in the rear of the motorhome that got us stuck. With our new lift kit and 4x4 added we are good to go with our once again elk tags. Troy, what's wrong with our blind? I will admit it was a little cramped but the air worked. TJ

    IDIOT Sighting

Does she hunt? That's an understatement. I've been with both of Mike's girls on several hunts and they can out shoot me with a rifle. They both have several kills and can skin & gut their own animals. Just to let you in on a little secret, Mike keeps a shotgun loaded with young buckshot for some reason.
  25. Happy Birthday youngster! Hope you have a good day and you kick a$# tonight at the shoot. Stopped in a couple times in the store but your boss said you don't get out of bed before 10am. Good luck on your elk hunt this year. TJ
