bustedknuckleinc replied to Coues 'n' Sheep's topic in Trail Cameras
Coues n Sheep this is the advice you gave me a couple of years ago and I think it was good advice. I am happy about how things turned out in my situation. But I do have to say the hunter that I had to deal with did not have the attitude that this guy does and didnt give me the feeling that he thought he owned the woods. Good Luck. " I am thinkin' that you might try moving another 1/4 mile up the trail (or more) and pick a new spot to do your hunting. I have had plenty of guys move in on me and spots that I have hunted for years.... It is really disheartening to feel presure from other guys that want to set up Right on top of you. It really doesn't matter if you hunt close to his lick or not..... but to hunt On his lick would be rude. Another member of this site had a very well established lick with a stand on it, but because he lived an hour and a half away he did not hunt it as much as we do.... so knowing that it was an area that we wanted to hunt we went a bit further down the ridge set a stand and killed two bucks in two days there...... that other member can chime up if he wishes, but we are friends today, in part because of hunter courtesy. We respected his space. We all own the forests, hence the "Public Land" term, but there is enough to go around people just need to respect personal space and the effort that someone else has put forth. loose or pellets?
bustedknuckleinc replied to Kilimanjaro's topic in Muzzleloader hunting for Coues Deer
What type of front loader are you shooting. TC Triumph.. I like the gun so far.. easy to shoot and clean up, and it handles nicely. I'd just like to get it to group more consisantly than it is.. It seems that it will shoot 1 1/2 to 2" groups IF I clean after every shot.. If I shoot the 2nd and third shots with a dirty barrel, they will almost always be 2" low and an inch or so to the left. I'm going to try a cleaner burning loose powder and see if that will tighten things up a bit. I'd like to get a 2" consistant group at 200 with this gun. I am shooting a TC omega and have basically got the same groups you have. I am using 100grs of the 7seven7 loose powder. I have shot the 200gr 250gr and 300gr shockwave bullets and lube each one with TC bore butter. They have all grouped virtually the same. I have started to clean it after every shot and it does tighten them a bit. I have not shot it at 200 yds yet but a will do so soon just to see how it does. It is nice to know that you can shoot 200yds if you need to but I would get them as tight as you can at 100 yds. In the unit that we have I would expect to shoot 100 yrds or less with the type of hunt it is. -

I guess try shooting your loads at last light or dark if you have a place to do that. Make sure you dont have a huge ball of fire with the load you are shooting. If you do you will not be getting a consistant burn in your load which can make every load shoot a little different. This normally only happens if you are shooting with three pellets or 12o gr of powder which are the same amount. Unless you are shooting bad groups I would not worry about it. Just go with what you like best. By the way I have the same tag you do and september cant come soon enough Good Luck. -

I herd a story about a guy that stole a bunch of gps units from a store. The police were able to track them even if they were not turned on. You might want to check into this considering how much money all that stuff costs. Im sure you could give a statement to the police about info on that gps unit that only you would know. Sorry about the loss that sucks.

We aren't listening to the naysayers, I have to check the G&f website at least three or four times a day, plus call a couple of times. My son's Elk app check didn't clear until the 14th of March. I think they are still opening envelopes. from who cabelas -

How Do We Make Changes in AG&FD?????
bustedknuckleinc replied to m77's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
This would be a good idea however the non res would eat it up. I think education is the answer to anti's. Explain to everybody you ever come across personaly with in the next five years who does not know why we do what we do. Educate the voters one at a time. Explain to them that they cant believe everything a katie cupcake or a rosey posey says on tv.
