    The whole "they" will be happy mentality i think is a problem on both sides. Both sides want it all and are unwilling to budge.

    Of course that's a possibility, time will tell.

     I absolutely refuse to willingly give up any of my current 2nd amendment rights as listed under the United States constitution... I have seen it time and time again where the pro-gun ownership people have agreed to a compromise and immediately thereafter the anti-gun crowd began seeking another "compromise" regarding the next item on their long list...All of these proposed "solutions" are really nothing more than a thinly hidden attempt to attain their ultimate goal of doing away with private individual gun ownership in the United States...

    "Shall not be infringed" is a very simple concept that they will not accept...

    I'm curious about the comment regarding the bill that will make you a felon if your firearms are stolen and used in a crime.  Can you elaborate?  Where did you get that info?

    In 2013 the totally democrat Tucson city "clowncil" passed the following city ordinance:

    Sec. 11-56. Reporting of stolen and/or lost firearms required.

       (a)   Any person who owns or possesses a firearm shall report the theft or loss of such firearm to the Tucson police department within forty-eight (48) hours of the time he or she knew or should have known the firearm has been stolen or lost, when either the owner or possessor resides in the city, or the theft or loss of the firearm occurs in the city. As used in this section, "firearm" has the same set forth in A.R.S. 13-105(19).

       (b)   The provisions of subsection (a) of this section shall not apply to any of the following:

       1.   Law enforcement officials while engaged in their official duties;

       2.   Members of the armed forces of the United States, or of the national guard, while engaged in their official duties;

       3.   Firearms dealers and manufacturers licensed under federal law who are subject to the reporting requirements of 18 U.S.C. 923(g)(6).

       (c)   A failure to report the loss or theft of a firearm as required in this section is a violation of the provisions of this section and constitutes a civil infraction, punishable by a civil sanction of one hundred dollars ($100.00).

    (Ord. No. 11081, § 1, 5-29-13
    A 2nd infraction of this "clowncil" ordinance bumps the penalty up to a misdemeanor punishable by a $500.00 fine...😠😠😠

    Guns aren’t the problem. Just as alcohol is not the problem; it’s the user.

    but you put a bolt action in the teens hands in Texas I would speculate the fatality rate would be far less.

    Just thinking out loud

    For those of you that don't appear able or willing to see past the concept that "guns are bad" or the mistaken belief that a bolt action gun is less lethal than a ssemi-automatic I offer for your consideration the exploit of Charles Witman who chose numerous different weapons with which to commit his murderous crime spree:

    University of Texas | university system, Texas, United States | Britannica
    https://www.britannica.com/topic/University-of-Texas

    Of note is the fact that he committed the majority of his murders with a bolt action hunting rifle chambered in 6mm Remington... An individual determined to commit evil will not be stopped by any amount of regulations or laws...a good person with a firearm could very likely stop the criminal.......

     Nothing the anti-gun crowd does should surprise you...They've got some momentum going because of what that POS, murdering animal did in Uvalde... Rest assured that they're going to use that momentum to try getting a congressional law passed making private ownership of a firearm illegal... Considering the current emotional state of the American people don't underestimate how much damage Congress will do to our 2nd Amendment rights.....

  6. I reached out to Jim and we came to an agreement about his need for some 25-20 Winchester Ammo...   In a nutshell, Jim purchased a fine old rifle and found that the ammunition cost way more than an elderly retiree on a fixed income could afford to pay 😕... Rather than just selling it without even having had the pleasure of taking it out shooting Jim was hoping to find someone who could sell him enough cartridges to at least punch a few holes in a target 😀...So as I said earlier we came to an agreement and he'll be able to see if his rifle shoots as good as it looks...

  7. I understand now why you were so willing to sell me your S&W 1006...if I didn't still have it I'd probably buy this one off you...This XDM 10mm is a beauty and even without the ammo package would be a heck of a deal...GLWS

  8. Sorry to hear that your Mother passed away...I've been laying down boot leather in and around the Hobble Mnts. since 1st being shown that area in the early 1970s...it is still an awesome place to explore...glad to hear you'll be moving back to the Flagstaff area...that's a dream many have and few get to see happen...if you have a CDL Flagstaff's solid waste dept. is always looking for drivers...

  9. Sure was weird considering I texted my question about about the model number less than an hour after he posted it for sale...

    The seller hadn't responded before people started trying to jump to the head of the line... It doesn't really matter because I've already got the best Caldwell sled model made... Was just trying to find out which model he had for a friend.....
