Son you are going to have a world of hurt brought down on your butt!!!!....lol If you want to talk about how many animals you have harvested then you must be making up for your lack of hunting skill and the huge amount of luck you have... How many moose have you taken?...........How many Caribou?...........How many bull Elk?..... How many deer?.........How many Antelope?..........How many Javelina?.............hmmmmmm I wonder... I seem to recall I have taken allo f theses animals over the years.......

Well im taking a break from getting my stuff loaded into the truck from the "staging area" on the couch!....lol Heading up to unit 8 to get me a Turkey! Then sunday im going scouting with Casey to show him how to glass for deer in 36B. (Pena Blanca Lake)....hehe. I sure hope he can keep up with those Leicas!..... Then I leave the 21st to set up camp for the October 36B deer hunt! Then in November I am guiding a good friend of mine on his bull Elk hunt in 3A/3C, its going to be a busy but fun time! Oh yeah I almost forgot I get to go chase deer with Casey again on his December hunt, in case anyone didnt notice, yes he does have a December tag!....HAHA! Casey I hope you realize the hunting Gods are reading these posts and are going to frown on you!.........At least I know I am a one shot hunter with my rifle and not a one BOX OF AMMO hunter like yourself.......

You should use which ever rifle you are most comfortable with. Either of those 2 calibers are great for deer. I personally choose to use my Rem. Mod. 700 In 300 ultra mag. Of all the rifles in my gun locker I shoot this one the best! I use 180gr Swift Sciroccos going about 3400fps.

You know Casey family does come before hunting for me. Besides, you said you have 36B all figureed out!......

I am heading down this coming sunday and will be there through the 30th. Casey and Gabe are supposed to be camped by us. I will be there for sure saturday night for the get together!

The gut less method is the only way we take care of large animals. I have been using that method since I killed my first moose in Alaska back in 1999.

Oh man that last post made me sick! Its unbelievable that some people can be so disrespectful and wasteful! A few years ago a friend of ours was Elk hunting and killed a nice 330-340 bull on the evening of opening day during the Nov. rifle hunt. Well somehow they managed to get the entire elk (gutted only) into his truck. Well thats where it stayed until he took it to the processor on monday! His thinking was that it was cold enough for it even after we all told him that he was making a huge mistake. I even offered to skin and cape it out for him but he said he would do it himself. He didnt get much meat off that bull I know that for sure.

I have been using the Realtree AP HD green for the last few years and I love it. But like most people know its all about concealing your movement and blending in. I prefer to sit near foliage while im glassing to break up my outline and this pattern has worked great while hunting in Arivaca and Ajo, and all the way up to Williams.

I have to admit you are correct.......it is the hot spot...............FOR FISHING!!!!!.....lol

Dang it Casey! I told you not to confuse Pena Blanca Lake and Arivaca Lake! YOU were at Pena Blanca Lake! There is NO deer habitat at Arivaca Lake, I repeat there is NO deer habitat at Arivaca Lake! Only thing there is mercury filled fish, no deer!

I kind of like the idea of camping in the Arivaca bar!..............there should be some cute hippy girls to keep everyone warm........

This year I will be packing my new Swarovski rangefinder. And Im about to order a Jim White head and a tripod from Amanda. Now that I think about it I better order some new cold weather clothes since its going to be freezing on Caseys december hunt!

Hey those 12 oz curls do the trick! besides, its better to do them now than do to many after the days hunt!.........
