Many years ago my dad took me hunting to a very southern part of New Mexico to what at the time was the Slover Ranch. This is a very remote part of nowhere!!! We were friends with the rancher and they let us bunk at their ranch shack, brewed us hot chocolate early morning before we headed out and then the wife asked us kindly to please don't shoot the deer that we would certainly bump into before we got away from the ranch house. We said absolutely and went about our hunt.....bumping into the deer she mentioned and then never seeing another deer the whole rest of the day!!! Respect is something that is very rare it seems with all of the above mentioned hunting techniques and methods. If respect was a part of a person's every day life the answers are almost always pretty clear cut and not that hard to get! Do I want more laws??? Not really....... Is there something to be said for having respect for other people and their beliefs.......every day. Does having respect mean that we can't fight for what we think is right.........not necessarily. I have elk and deer beating and eating the crap out of my trees on my property and I want them gone.....but inside city limits, with a building on the acreage........I have not been able to have a tag in my hand and any law that would allow me to take either of those species during a hunt

Still trying to get some extra voters on this if you don't mind taking the time........an Arizona school being represented on a national level!!! Thanks......

I knew I was going to catch some flack over posting this. Fact is "Moby" has been very well taken care of. He has spent many a night in an expensive "doggy day care" while my sister was out of town working as a child advocate to make sure that our tax dollars were properly applied for State funded day care centers, for children. Believe it or not she's tore up about it. She hopes to do the responsible thing and find him a place where he won't be an apartment dog in Seattle. These days you can catch flack for helping grandma across the street on CWT......good job looking for a home!! Good luck!!

So does anybody have an answer to the original question???

I heard about Silver Creek for the first time last night. Pretty fun little spot with lots of pressure at times. Make sure you take the time to walk up creek and see where the water just boils up out of the ground.......

Good luck to you getting that back....had a similar experience where a chainsaw, ice chest and other camping items bounced out of the back of my truck on a steep rough road. Tailgate bounced open and items went everywhere......luckily we had to open a gate up on the top and noticed items missing. Grateful to the jeep behind us that picked everything up and brought it to us......hope you get that gun back.....

Been watching Prison Break.......which has been fun to watch, some of that depicting Utah, Arizona and New Mexico. I found this sign interesting......... Is there anyplace in New Mexico that this sign would fit in? I spent all of my teenage years around Animas, Silver City, Glenwood, Luna, Reserve, Quemado, etc. Never heard of Pullman or Hewlett..... anybody recognize those towns??? I know it is Hollywood...just curious where those towns are if they exists!!!

Universal Soldier....in Ash Fork 1992, that little town was lit up every night and all the kids were down watching what they could....sleeping the next day in class!! Interesting quote from wikipedia about that set in Ash Fork, "supposedly due to the extremely low purchase price and poor condition of several buildings, including an old motel, which were blown up for cinematic effect.[4] " And while it was not "filmed" in AZ....the movie Cars does a great depiction of the Ash Fork/Seligman stretch of 66!!!

I agree with you on that, not too happy with Sportsman's on this one. I think maybe it was the specific camo pattern that they have discontinued not necessarily the 2200 pack itself. Finally went through email.....got some help, they are sending a FedEx box to ship it back to them.......glad they got back in touch with me.

For years dating clear back to my youth I have been involved with trapping skunks for many different reasons. My brother taught me how to build this trap with a slightly different spring mechanism that I modified before google existed believe it or not. I thought I would share this trap idea for those who are looking for a great trap! This trap is easy to build and the best thing is that once you trap the skunk you can safely transport the critter to where ever you want and avoid getting sprayed. This trap is 16" tall, 12" wide and 24" long.

I used to take a sock bottom, put sardines in it and tie it to my string.......I found it brought in way too many cats, Pizza seems to kinda slow the cats down. I like the hook idea....... -

I have tried connecting the pan directly but it just doesn't get the action needed consistently to get the job done, the rat trap snaps that pin out of there with any movement around the pan inside the trap!! -
