    Count your blessings

This should make us all take a moment and reflect on what is really important in this life and count your blessings daily. POTTSVILLE, Pa. (AP) — Fire tore through a family's eastern Pennsylvania home on Mother's Day, authorities said, killing four young children, their father and another relative while their mother was across the street doing laundry at a friend's house. The blaze broke out around 11:55 p.m. Sunday at the single-family home in Pottsville. Firefighters later found all of the bodies on the third floor of the building, which sits on a steep hillside not far from the D.G. Yuengling & Son brewery in Pennsylvania's coal country, about 90 miles northwest of Philadelphia. The fire was declared under control shortly before 1 a.m. A fire marshal was sifting through the debris later Monday morning and authorities were searching for the cause. The Schuylkill County Coroner's office identified the victims as the father, Eric Brown, 30; and his children, Elijah Brown, 2; Emily Brown, 3; Jeremiah Brown, 7; and Joy Brown, 8. Another adult, Kristina Thomas, 26, also died in the fire. She's the sister of 28-year-old Kelly Brown, the mother who survived. Kelly Brown had been doing laundry at a neighbor's house nearby at the time of the blaze because her washing machine was broken, according to the neighbor, Jennifer Purcell. Purcell said they had smelled smoke and gone outside, when she saw the flames and said, "Oh my God, your house is on fire." They both ran up the street to the house, but weren't able to get inside, Purcell said. Kelly Brown started screaming to emergency personnel keeping her back, "What do you mean I can't go in? My kids are in there, my husband is in there, my sister is in there. I've got to get them," according to Purcell. Brown got weak after that and had to be walked down the street because she couldn't stand, Purcell said. Kelly Brown is now staying at her parent's house elsewhere in Pottsville, Purcell said, adding that they later spoke on the phone and her friend was devastated. "She's a wreck," Purcell said. "Not only did she lose, as she said, her best friend, her husband, her kids, but it also happened on Mother's Day." Neighbors said they heard screams for help, but the flames were too intense by the time they got to the house to try to rescue the family. Jeff Kuhlwind, 50, who lives across the street, said he was on his computer in the front of his house when he heard screaming, "Help! Help me!" He said he called 911, ran outside and saw "massive flames" shooting from a second-floor window. He saw a woman toward the house screaming for help, saying that a man and kids were still inside. The woman turned around as if to go back inside, but Kuhlwind said he ordered her to stay out. He and several other neighbors ran up to the front of the house and he was about to go inside when he saw flames shooting outside the front window and was forced away. "Nobody was getting in, there wasn't no way," he said. "It went quick, really, really quick." The upper two floors of the three-story home were charred and the rear of the building appeared to have sustained heavy damage, with several of the walls knocked out. Furniture and other debris sat on the front lawn. Crews from all the city's fire companies responded to the blaze and Pottsville fire Chief Todd March said crews had to proceed carefully through the building because of the extensive amount of damage

Dirty tactics once again from the AZGFD! Now you'll know why to never trust them

No claim to perfection and know nothing about a Perfect Manhattan. I am old enough to have kids and I know exactly what the law did with my kid and none of it was by the book and my kid paid. Lesson learned and we moved on but the quote of the day is "I want my lawyer"......before another word is said.

    Droptine

Finally got droptine taken care of, Cole said he wanted it in his room if I didn't mind. Special thanks out to the ones who allowed us to have this skull. We never got to see this buck in real life just had pictures of him and of course dreamed about him for 3 years.

So if we just be quiet and not talk about it everything will be just fine right? All I am sayin is if what I quoted is correct......what would have happened to me as a hunter, that is all I am asking. Would I get that same due process??? Yes, you as an American under the Constitution would have the same due process. Better ask if you would rather be judged in the courts or by the lynch mod that has formed on this forum? Cheers Exactly my point Jcubed.........If I am a G$F insider and I know they are going to let me off the hook with a slap of the hand then I want to be judged by the "system" who will let me walk for turning my tag over to another person as opposed to being judged by those who are going to hold me accountable by the same standard that they have been held to. Pretty simple, not wanting to lynch anybody, just want the meter to be the same. You keep avoiding the question posed.....did he leave the tag with another person, and is that not a violation? You talk about constitutional rights.....where in that constitution does it say some get one punishment while others get a lesser punishment for same violation?? If he doesn't get the same punishment as what I would get, my constitutional rights are the ones that have been trampled on because he and I were created EQUAL right? You bring up good points and obviously we don't see eye to eye on this and that is what makes the world go round.

I would say.."some people on this forum"..."some" Ernesto C Ernesto, You are completely correct! "Some" is what I should have said...call it a lack of clarity! My apologies to the cwt community and my friends on here! So explain this for "some" of us who have "jumped" to conclusions: And I quote: 51, 330.) Wagner and Clay III followed the blood trail for about three-tenths of a mile until they ran out of blood and daylight. ( Id. at 51–52, 331.) They marked their position on their GPS, and returned to the water hole where they met Clay Jr. ( Id. at 52.) All three agreed the shot was fatal, and if they found it, they would find it dead. ( Id. at 52, 329–30, 333.) Clay Jr. and Clay III said they would look for the elk the next day, and if they found it, they would put Wagner’s tag on it. ( Id. at 52–53, 333–34.) Wagner left his tag in Clay’s truck and left for Phoenix that night; Clay III later gave the tag to Weeks because Clay III was going to be hunting and did not want to be carrying another person’s tag. ( Id. at 53, 335.)

And he just made a stop in Texas today to brag about how raising taxes and growing government will save all.......in a state that completely does just the opposite. I'm guessing that is what riles most of us.....wishing that same kind of leeway.....except, there was the decision to "leave the tag"....that is not a mistaken doe shot.......or a kids tag in his dad's pack...........that is a thought out, pre meditated violation of the law.....not just accidental.........committed by the upholder of the law. The preachers kids are always held to a higher standard..........

Interesting experience this weekend with all the talk about immigration, gun control and constitutional rights. I can't afford to buy lots of ammo at a time, and with the recent lack of ammo on shelves I pay close attention to what is on the shelf when I go in a store that sells ammo. I found a box of ammo I had been looking for and decided to buy it. Bought a pair of shoes for the kid, some socks and one box of ammo. My wife is paying with her debit card when the lady asks, "Are you a citizen of the United States?" I go, what????? Why are you asking that question??? Sir it is our company policy to make sure we are selling ammunition to citizens of the US...... Really??????? Wonder if the Feds know they are asking that question, I thought that was like against the law and profiling and all that stuff????

So I am dumb......is it legal to leave my tag behind with another hunter to recover my game and tag it??? Isn't that the real question here??? If I, normal hunter were to do this would it be legal????

AJ, I agree but if we are gonna ask the question, then lets ask the question and bear(bare)?? the burden together, not just when it is convenient and politically correct. I don't want ammo in the hands of illegals, but I really don't want illegals here either, it is illegal......get my drift??? Wait....it is undocumented...sorry......
