Lets face it, if you played football at all for Blue Ridge during the last 20 plus years you probably got to hold up the gold ball at least once if not more. They have flat out dominated in football. A very respected coaching staff and kudos also to the kids through the years that were willing to committ to a program and make it successfull.
-
Yep, they won it in soccer too....good programs up there with alot of great coaching and athletes. Congras Coach to another flawless season......we are comin after you next year though....now on to wrestling season where BR will have some great wrestlers as well....

Big pre-turkey dispute over the correct pronounciation of this word. All I have ever heard it pronounced is Matazal not realizing that there is an extra Z in there........what do ya say out there??? What is it??? Some language rule silent Z???
-
That is what I have always said and heard, but got put on the spot when I was asked why!!!

Amen, you really don't have to look to far to realize how blessed we each are.....

Coach, Congrats to your team and good luck this Thanksgiving weekend, we choked on the gophers(yuck) so it is on to wrestling for us this week.

I don't really care what it is, well, within reason of course, but having kids be involved in something is soooooooooo important. Parental support and committment go a long way in helping our your survive what is out there waiting for them. Thanks for introducing us to a Regatta, I thought that was a dance!!! Congratulations on your success......

VERY DISAPPOINTED AND RATHER DISGUSTED
Non-Typical Solutions replied to Shooter McGavin's topic in The Campfire
I have probably said this before when this topic came up, but one thing I remember my dad making us do was hang the meat out over night and wrap it up and pack it away during the day. We would do this for about a week if I remember right. He claimed it helped with the game taste and tenderness as well. When we began to carve the meat the outside was hard and sometimes you wondered if the meat was any good at all, but once you got it cleaned up, it was really good meat. We still do the same with all of our game today. Actually a great topic I have never had my game meat processed anywhere, just always thought it was easy enough to take care of myself. Good lesson for kids to learn too as part of the dare I say harvest!!! -
I thought that was Lark...

Real nice....always messes with your head knowing you were so close and could not find the other side.....nice finds

Great math lesson there Tony which pointed out that I didn't have enough sides for my 22.5 I was writing six and thinking eight I stand corrected on my number of sides. All my years of playing with wood and you had that simple formula all the time??? I really need to get out more often, thanks!!!

WOW...not cool. I just removed mine too. Mine is removed.....crap....

Between the pigs and monkeys this site has gone amuck......cool pictures for sure and a really nice buck.....
-
If you are agreeable to change to a six sided pedestal 22.5 is the correct angle, I have never done the pentagon shape, but lots of work with the six sided configuration. Make sure you have a dang sharp blade on that tablesaw which by the way should have a tick mark for 22.5 on it as well. Good luck and holler if you need, if your lumber is warped at all it makes that cut really tough to get accurate but I guess that is a DUH. I use alot of old thrown away resawn lumber and I have to cull through a bunch of it when I am making cuts like you are talking about.

Unit 27 is such an awesome unit...so much diversity in the critters there....congrats on the high beamer....
-
Set the saw at 22.5 degrees and let er fly.....for a six sided one that is....easy to keep track of too.......
