Non-Typical Solutions

Anybody got a special load they like for this cartridge. We now have one of them in the family would like to build a good all around load. What grain bullet is the best for this gun? Elk? Deer? Is there a middle of the road weight that works well for both? Powder recommendations? Help me out here if you don't mind.

Brent, Man you gotta quit showing pics of that country, just makes me daydream that much more. Last year with our hunt, I left hiline at dark thirty on my mule, pulling a mule behind me and bless their hearts, they kept me from getting to lost all the way back to honeymoon. Just a sore rearend and dang proud of the mules. Sorry you didn't get to whack a bull, but looks like to got the most out of your hunt. We gotta meet up down there some time.

So lets hear some Christmas recommendations on trail cams. Is there really such a thing as a trail cam that will send photos to my computer?? I am trail cam illiterate......

The only wolf I have seen was there at Beaverhead Loged on 666 and it had a collar, otherwise it might have ended up on the endangered list. It was alot more lanky and raggedy looking, that looks like a well kept dog to me.

Hey dingle, if you find a white 79 ford along the side of the road in 3a 3c and you need a ride it probably is unlocked and the ignition will turn over with a popsicle stick you are welcome to use it. Just remember it is probably on double EE, the spare tire in the back is flat and please put at least $10.00 in the tank before you return it. they maybe locals from that area in order to know about that trick tank. I'm thinking snowflake, Taylor ,Heber, or Show low. They may be locals or they may not, they might be from the city, they might be from the sticks, they might be dirtbags, they might be corporate shirt and tie guys, they might be hillbillies they might be slickers. Not really about where they are from as much as the act of messing with your camera. And why do "Bow hunters deserve the most respect"? We are all in this battle together whether I am a nature nut who wants to put cameras out just for the fun of it or I am trying to pattern game for a hunt. If it aint yours then just leave it alone. Sorry about the camera problems, if I see the dirtbags driving around town I will ask them about the cameras. I think we learned alot from a previous post on trail cam or maybe we didn't????????? I figured you had something like that up your sleeve, but I was waiting for picture of a big old 400+ bull standing in the middle of the road..................I just barely noticed last week for the first time they have that second camera sitting just as you enter from the rim side.....man they are putting those things all over the place. Hope to avoid the zero tolerance cams

I thought it was appropriate when my boy asked if we could go shooting yesterday I told him heck ya. I had three batches of .17 Remington loaded up that I had been wanting to test out so we headed out to the range and took a few whacks at the target. My boy shootin his 7mm-08 that his aunt gave him for his birthday. A gun she had built for her but decided she was done hunting. Notice our sophisticated shooting bench. My .17 Remington, three seperate loads of three bullets each. I really am not a very good shooter, but was happy so I went home and loaded up 48 rounds now we are ready for some varmint hunting over turkey break. Thanks to all yall who have made this a possible event for me and my boys, we appreciate the lives and time spent on behalf of our freedom

What an honestly true blessing to go in such a manner. May his family be comforted knowing that he was in Gods beautiful country doing something that he loved to do. May we all live our lives to be so fortunate.

As I have been reading posts again this year about the illegal activity in our southern hunting units I began to wonder. What would they do at Martha's vineyard if illegals trafficked through there and left trash, drugs, toted guns, etc.?? What would our great Homeland Security do then? What would the White House folks think next time they went for a break in one of their favorite places to be on a weekend?
