And we wonder where all this money comes to buy an office for a president like we have. Fat cats paying themselves off with our tax dollars................ -

I am surprised that Saturday went by and there wasn't a big banner TRICK OR TREAT across the white house while the little kids came to get their candy....................that would have been more than appropriate.............. -

You ought to make a bumper sticker for that one.....that is funny. -
Although this may have dampened some hunting spirits, a well needed blanket of snow found it's way to Snowflake last night. Here is Daisy for the proof.

Yeah, it actually snowed

I am hoping that Greer got a bunch, we need that place to get packed with snow this winter. If we were guaranteed 3" of snow every time the wind blew 60 miles an hour around here that might be worth it. Hope that snow helped somebody find a nice buck today...... -
my 11 year olds first couse 537 yards

The shot was almost directly straight across. So we all had to hike down the hill and back up the other side .about 300 fett down in elevation then back up almost 400 feet in elevation , it took about 20 minutes.it was steep on both sides It is always easy getting up and down those steep hills when there is a critter down on the other side. Nice shot and congratulations. -

He didn't say that but he did make sure his money was in a seperate account when the fit hit the shan....... I love Lute, I took my basketball team to one of his camps 15 years ago when I taught in Ash Fork and he treated us like we belonged even though we were a bunch of misfits. Now Bear.....get out there...... -

Over the last couple of months I have noticed that my creditcard companies have sent out letters letting me know that my APR will go up to 26% if I pay my card off as I spend. I got an APS notice that my meter out on my property where I keep my chickens, horses and critters has had a very low usage over the last four months and they want to come at my expense to see if there is something wrong with my meter. They don't know that horses, chickens and critters don't really need lots of electricity. I feel that because I have always paid my bills I have ended up on a list that makes me the target. I have been profiled as a likely candidate to help pay off the stimulus bill. To hear that cell phones are being handed out to those who can't afford is a real big incentive for me to keep busting my arse to support those who aren't........................ -

Forget your Job. Forget your family. Forget all obligations.Even forget the Red Blue scrimmage! Coues hunting comes first. Man if that were a possibility I can't even dream about that option. See I told you Bear, these hunters here are relentless.....don't wait for your kids to grow up, you will miss a great opportunity if you wait for that........... To answer your question, the temperature change will affect deer activity, especially if it drops snow tonight, you better be on that ridge just waiting......cause now you are looking for whitetail on the white snow and oh man my blood is boiling now....get out there you have a tag in your pocket......... goood luck.... -
Going back to Mulies
Non-Typical Solutions replied to BeardownAZ's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Bear, Don't be so hard on yourself, these guys on this site eat, sleep and drink coues and they are a pretty unique bunch. They spend alot of time at it and the results are there because of their time and expertise. I feel for you in that for those of us who have hunted mostly mulie we(I) feel pretty inadequate when it comes to coues but I have decided my weakness is lack of time in the field when it comes to pre season. Don't give up on them, they are sneaky, but just look at the awesome pics these hunters put on this site and it makes me want to try again and again until I can put a respectable picture on here with my mug next to it. I didn't get drawn this year but will be chomping at the bit for next years drawn in hopes of the chance for that illusive ghost of a deer. I shot a little forkie coues last year and a little three point about 15 years ago out of unit 27, I missed a monster in New Mexico when I was 17 shaking like a leaf off hand shot. But I still want a wall hanger.... -
I can honestly say that last picture is not the best but looks like a familiar site for my hunting trips. Nice buck......

And of course, trigger finger itchy with the chance that even just a forkie might step out from under cover.............yep, nerve racking to say the least.......... -

Play by play is definitely nerve racking, specially sitting behind the desk trying to focus on work, missing the cold of the morning and the turned leaves, aahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
