Is there a thread where we have discussed calling mountain lion? If not, has anybody tried it? Have experience? I remember trying as a kid with a mouth call, it was just something I thought I really wanted to do, I would go out New Years morning to a mesa topped hill that was not too far from the house but I knew there were lions in the area. I probably didn't sit long enough, maybe? I kinda want to try again.............any thoughts?

And Chat Gpt also says this....................I have been getting trained on Chat Gpt yee haw!!!!!! The cost of a Remington 700 Long Action Ultra Mag receiver can vary based on several factors, including its condition (new or used), any included components or modifications, and the seller. As of 2024: New Receivers: A new Remington 700 Long Action Ultra Mag receiver typically costs between $300 and $500. The exact price can depend on the retailer and any current promotions or availability. Used Receivers: The price for a used receiver can be lower, often ranging from $200 to $400, depending on its condition and whether it's being sold as part of a complete rifle or separately. For the most accurate and current pricing, it's a good idea to check with firearm retailers, online marketplaces, or auction sites. Additionally, prices can fluctuate based on supply and demand, so it's worth keeping an eye on trends in the market.

Actually this is what Chat Gpt said..................... The Remington 700 Long Action Ultra Mag receiver is designed to accommodate larger cartridges and is particularly useful for long-range shooting and hunting. Here are some of the key benefits of using this receiver: Versatility with Cartridges: The Ultra Mag receiver is specifically built to handle magnum-length cartridges, which are longer and often offer greater power and range compared to standard cartridges. This makes it suitable for a range of high-performance rounds. Enhanced Accuracy: The receiver's design supports a longer and more robust barrel, which can contribute to better accuracy and consistency, especially at extended distances. Improved Ballistics: The larger chamber allows for the use of cartridges with more powder capacity, leading to higher velocities and flatter trajectories. This can be advantageous for long-range shooting where ballistics play a critical role. Rugged Construction: Remington 700 receivers, including the Ultra Mag, are known for their durability and reliability. This rugged construction ensures that the rifle can handle the high pressures of magnum cartridges while maintaining consistent performance. Customization Options: The Long Action Ultra Mag receiver offers a solid platform for customization. Shooters can modify and upgrade various components, such as barrels, stocks, and triggers, to suit their specific needs and preferences. Long-Range Capability: The design of the Ultra Mag receiver helps in achieving effective long-range shooting, making it a popular choice for precision shooters and hunters who need to engage targets at significant distances.
