Carrying System for AR500 Steel Targets?

Simply tossed the USPS Priority Mail box the hostage dueling tree was shipped inside into a basic "American Tourister" bag and the fitment was perfect. Top handle and roller wheels are admittedly nice for rolling on the tile under low shelving for storing on the floor. Still torn though. Might leave that to the duffel bag due to the swinging gongs and add in the T-Post hooks, then just seek a more convenient way to carry the other 2x torso targets. Adding a few pics for those who might like my current method. Handled maybe six aggressive off-roading treks varying from a few hours to full days, both in the cab and bed, with no signs of wear to the bag yet.
  8. After some internal debate on best location (Rifles, Gear, etc.), landed here. Forum search really only turned up the term "AR500" in Classified for WTB/WTS posts, so don't think I'm re-asking old questions, at least that I can find. Anyone have a great carrying system for the multiple bulky, heavy AR500 steel targets? Started with a 3/8" hostage dueling tree for handgun practice, then later acquired two 1/2" torso targets for mag. rifles along with some nice hanging hooks: 1x 45 lb. Hostage Dueling Tree - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07XLP3FSF/ 2x 30 lb./ea. Torso - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076KSR2QF/ 4x 1.75 lb./ea. T-Post Hook - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077MPR2M2/ At first, carried the hostage dueling tree in a cardboard lined, wheeled duffel bag type luggage gotten at a thrift store for a few dollars. The telescoping, hard handle backing gives a nice rigidity to it, the cardboard simply alleviating some of the harsher wear of the steel dropped/rubbing on the fabric, then it has standard duffel bag soft handles for transportation. Considering even doubling with a second wouldn't bode well for the luggage bag and I'm not wanting to lug around three wheeled duffel bags just for the convenience of handles. Initial thoughts drift towards a nylon webbing or seeing just how epically I can botch an attempt at welding handles onto one edge... I think any type of hard shell case, such as plywood with a handle and rollers, would quickly become more challenging loading into a lifted Silverado (6.5" lift on 37" tires) due to bulk. The duffel bag was nice for including the first target suspension base and a hammer for driving the T-Post, but thinking those could more easily be tossed together in a smaller grab bag. The closest I came to finding existing ideas in a brief online search was a Target Stand Carrier Case for $38.50 (https://ar500-targets.com/product/ar500-bag/) that doesn't visually appear like it would survive even a few rounds of the larger torso sized targets' weight bouncing around in it. Can't imagine I'm the first to debate carrying options and scheme on solutions, figured I'd try crowd-sourcing here. Anyone else have carrying systems they like? Seth

    WTB muzzle brake

Awesome, thanks for the confirmations. Not tying to be excessively impatient, ask is probably more so a byproduct of so many places shutting down the past year or two and the shifting workforces. Life happens too and family matters are obviously more important. I'll probably give things a few days or a week in case he's just settling back in, try not to hassle him too much and maybe just try a text later. Thank you both again! DR

    WTB muzzle brake

Hey folks - hopefully not bumping too old a thread, Anyone know if Todd is still around and accepting work? Rang him 10/4 w/ a VM and again 10/28 (today) leaving another message. Over in the WV, Peoria specifically, but fell in love with Todd's work after the seamless picture above and planned to transit. Looking to tame a Superlite 300WM, like the OP. Have been to the BassPro area in Mesa years ago, but otherwise unfamiliar with the smaller shops and don't see Southern Xpress on Maps or any address on the FB page. Know some shops just don't answer the phone often or do callbacks, so curious if a drive-by would be better. Contemplating either a temp. Kahntrol bolt-on if he's just busy with the season (whether work or his own hunts) or if I need to start looking for another gunsmith with impeccable work. Thanks, DR

    Looking to buy 7mm ammo!

Took closer inventory of my Power-Shok last night, I have the full box and my second actually only has three spent brass in it (17 live rds). I think "Coues assassin" may have been taken care of by "Hucker", but want to give him some time to respond today. If he's good, I couldn't turn down a nice pair of binos for the Power-Shok, but am thinking you're offering a box of your own to receive the binos? lol darthruler

    WTB 7mm Remington brass

@Low#country23 or others above desiring 7MM Rem. Mag. brass yet - PM me and I could probably wrangle up a few boxes of once fired store bought cartridges to sell. Had saved for eventual reloading, but might step away from my 7mm later this year and is growing more unlikely I'll invest the time reloading. Know there are some Hornady, Federal, PPU, probably even Remington or Winchester. Am located in the Peoria, AZ area and not sure I have an appetite to try distance selling/shipping at the moment; probably keep it local with cash. Don't know total quantity offhand and never sold brass before, so it might take some digging to pull spent boxes and separate my various calibers. Think my account can receive PMs, otherwise I'll try to watch the thread here and respond in a timely manner. darthruler

    WTB 7mm hornady ammo

Longtime creeper; decided I should get more engaged and register. @DawsonSchell, @zapatero8, @Adicted (not sure if Bitterlizard was serious) - if you're still in need and traveling to the Peoria area at any point, I have 1.5 boxes of Hornady I'm agreeable to parting with at fair value cash in-person. Got a full box (20 rds) of the Hornady Superformance #80593 139 gr SST and a half box (10 rds) of the Hornady American Whitetail #80591 139 gr InterLock. Keeping a partial of Power-Shok for a NE whitetail hunt coming up. Might step away from my 7mm later this year and have a small ammo can of mixed generics to name brands ranging from 139-175 gr. I'm happy to help a few other hunters with in these shortages. Not ready to unload everything, but can spare a box each if you are truly in need for the season. Got a couple PPU PSP BT 140 gr. soft point boxes (generics?) that have treated me fine during practice that should work in a pinch for field too. Think my account can receive PMs, otherwise I'll try to watch the thread here and respond in a timely manner. darthruler
