willhunt4coues posted a topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
http://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/2015/04/muzzle-threading-dont-remove-too-much-steel/ Thought I would share this with you guys just in case you decide to get a barrel threaded at the muzzle for suppressors/muzzle breaks. -

Which sights to put on new shotgun? Factory ones shoot high!
willhunt4coues replied to Viper's topic in Turkeys!
I bought a mosberg 835 turkey model and put a 1 piece base and added a truglo red dot sight. Probably the best thing I have done. You can get her to a perfect zero at whatever range you desire. Cost is low around 100.00 I believe. http://www.amazon.com/weaver-multi-slot-base-system-mossberg/dp/b00162sb3e http://www.truglo.com/optics-red-dots/gobble-stopper-30mm-dual-color.asp?catid=52E3D7409570433EBF69FA2CBEB51CA6 -
I have a 24A tag and over the weekend had 3 gobblers gobbling to my Glass call on Saturday. Then on Sunday went to another area and had 1 Gobble in one location and the second location videoed 3 Gobblers strutting for 1 hen. This was all in 24A. I have tag 1 of 2 on the first hunt. I have already spent WAY too much on calls and decoys so I had better get one...

I have an Atlas PSR, Harris, and TriClawps. The triclawps is great for shooting sitting out to 800 yards and standing out to 500 yards. The triclawps works well when used with a beefy tripod otherwise range will be shorter. The atlas is probably the BEST bipod I have ever owned being that it is very stout and not as flimsy as the harris. Harris is good but when comparing to the atlas it can't compete. The price of the harris though will beat the atlas. The atlas is one of those items that you hate to buy but once you do you will wonder why you didn't buy it in the first place. I have the quick release model on the atlas and can change from one rifle to the next in seconds. I would rather shoot prone but when you can't the TriClawps works perfectly. Atlas PSR Harris Triclawps

I tried the Extra Full carlson chock and hornady #5, Winchester #4, and Heavy Shot Magnum which is a mix of 5,6,7. Out of all three I can keep a 10" circle at 35 yards with only one and thats the Heavy Shot. I have now bought 2 chokes and 5 different loads to experiment with all. Heavy shot will be my go to round but word to the wise it kicks like a freakin mule. LOL

You mean Mark? If so tell him congrats.

I found that a great lightweight youth gun in the 6.5 Creedmoor cal is the Ruger American Predator very affordable and very accurate. BUT the only issue is no one has them. They are selling like hot cakes.

You can always check at gunbot.net/reloading/powder Gunbot checks places like Natchez, midsouth, powder valley, cabelas, grafs, ect for ANY powder inventory. When these sites put it up for sale then it shows up IMMEDIATELY on gunbot website. I usually have to watch the site for about 3 to 5 days (checking in on my phone) every hour or so. I just go to the site and keep it up when I get ready to check the site I just refresh and the new items will show on top takes seconds to check when saved to your favorites. You can do this with brass, bullets, powder, ammo, primers, ect. I use H4350 and have to stop looking because I end up buying. Check it out. Its better then going to each website.

From last announcement on release days from AZGFD will be early to mid week they said this to the public years back. They use to always come out on fridays BUT they have found if you had questions or problems you had to wait till monday. So they changed that aspect and most of the time it is monday, tuesday I have seen Thursday but like JDUB said its been YEARS since they have been released on a friday.

16 Year old girl, 113" Coues video
willhunt4coues replied to Pine Donkey's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Congrats again to that young lady. Thanks again for sharing Garrett. Love the video. -
If you just load any load and any seating depth then yes you will have a speed and weight of bullet. BUT is that load ACCURATE? probably not. So hence the work up of a load till you find your right powder, primer, seating depth, ect. Then when all that is figured out you can get the speed and all the other info needed to get the custom turret. I don't rely on custom turrets just because temperature, humidity, Station Pressure will be changing all the time. Better to take current reading and dial from there.

Only once in awhile... Lmao. I live in Globe and would love to hunt other units. My dad is stubborn and only likes hunting 24a and 4b for elk. Being as old as he is I want to spend every hunt with him till he can't go anymore. When he can't I will then venture out with my son. Until then 24a is fun I know every canyon and been in every canyon since I was 8.

You can't use your same old email but dif password. I tried and it said that the password was already taken. You are correct I have 2 email address and used a 2nd email and it actually pulled in my first as a secondary also.
-
If it is not showing your license info and all your old draw results then you did not merge your accounts. After setting everything up it will have an option (if you entered everything correctly) to merge/migrate info or do not migrate/merge info. If you select do not merge it will not pull in all your info. Here is a picture. I have set up an account twice because the first time non of my info was in there and when I set up my dads all his info was so I then set up another account and it worked. Iagain like I said I did not enter my whole sportsman id number in the first time. If you do it correctly and click save the NEXT screen should say merge/migrate info or not now. MAKE SURE you select YES to merge or none of your info will show. I can see my results for up to 6 years.
-
So did results show up for you for this draw after doing all that? Yes my old results and all my licenses I can see. So yes it migrated all my info.
-
Okay just an FYI for everyone that says their info in not showing up (old tags and old draw results) its not that it is not migrating. I first filled out all my info but for sportsmans ID number i put the last 4 of my social and for social put my whole number. After i hit save thats all that happened. So I CREATED another account but added my whole social as my sportsmans id and bam after saving it asks if you want to MIGRATE all info. MAKE SURE you say yes to this if not nothing will migrate. SO go back in and recreate another account maybe under a secondary email or reuse old email just with a different password.
