I use a redding neck bushing die but I first run my cases through my body die and bump my shoulder everytime .001. The annealing helps a lot with consistent neck tension. I was annealing by hand but doing it after every firing I decided a machine would benefit so I bought the Ballistics Edge model 400. I have a review on it I will share. -
Here is my son Zack shooting 1050 yards 13 mph winds no practice shots. This is his first time ever shooting this far target is 20 inches. Here i am shooting the same distance 1050 yards I shot first then my son shot 2nd. Again no practice shots 1st shot hits for both. My second shot at this distance hit same place as my first shot producing a 2" group. here are some more videos for your viewing. I just recorded from my phone while the camera was plugged into the TV so I can upload faster. I will get a full video edited and uploaded when i have time. My nephew Price is 10 years old and has only shot long range 2 times, my son of course shots as much as i do (100 rounds a week), my dad is also getting into the long range fun when I built him a 6.5 Creedmoor. Yes if you clean it you can open close no problem but as soon as you fire 1 round it will not move until cleaned. I leave it open for the range then if I am going hunting I close it. -

Bubble level is also included. Scope tracks perfectly (tall target test done) scope rings also were reamed with a 35mm reamer. Everything on this gun holds true and will for years to come. Valdada glass is just as good as Swarovski glass with a transferable lifetime warranty. Scope elevation adjustment is 32 MOA (1140 yards for 140gn 2835fps). You can use the moa marks inside and get out to 1500 yards (20 moa total reticle at 24 power). 1700.00 I forgot about the pictures but I will get them up tonight. -

You are correct Sneaker. Think about it you get bears coming into your salt so as long as you do not shoot them you are fine. You can bait anything but harvesting over the correct bait or no bait is the key.

You could replace the bolt body and bolt head with the PTG Body & Head. The only difference is the body is closer to spec with your raceway and the head it a tempered steel. With most factory heads on the savage they begin to pit around the flash hole the PTG one will not pit and is tighter on spec. If you do change these out you will have to headspace again which will take any gunsmith minutes to do. Just something else you could do. You could also replace the barrel with a Shilen, Criterion and make it more precise and accurate.

I have noticed when water is applied deer/elk will hit it within 24 hours ( at least my mixture they do ). Especially when it rains. I believe it gives out a scent when water is applied, it works great if you are planning on hunting the spot to take extra water and pour on the spot when you hunt it. Will help lure them in.
