Cibola Juniors Waterfowl Hunt
willhunt4coues replied to bowsniper's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
I got the text. Tell your boy congrats looks like you guys had a great time. Now go get him a buck. -
What did he score? Great buck and great mount except it looks a little strange at the back of the mount. Is it suppose to look like that and if so what did he use? Maybe a close up pic it looks like rock. If it is rock that is sweet but still looks weird. Overall it is an awesome pose and great character.

2010 Coues deer mount
willhunt4coues replied to willhunt4coues's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
No he just has small G2s. We had seen him before and he was on the move so we thought he was a big 2 point but when I saw him that morning and saw his right side I knew he was a 3x3 but the G2s just were small. His left side G2 was 1 1/2 inches but his right side was 2 1/2. So he was a typical 3x3 with eye guards. -
thanks

Wow what a toad. Like tthe others have said take some pics of the mount PLEASE. -
+1 on the predator and ASAT. I love the ASAT it really breaks you up out there.
-
Picture please.

congrats on the yote. I have shot 2 now with my bow one on a stalk and the other sitting a water hole and by far the best yote hunting so far. To kill a Yote with a gun is easy to kill a yote with a bow is MUCH harder. Great job, well done.

is it the Houge stock? If so how much and what color is it?

Well it is finally here my new tack driver. It is a Howa/Hogue 20” Heavy Barrel Varminter .308. Here are all the features: All HOWA/HOGUE’S Feature: • Non-slip, Cobblestone™ grip works in all weather conditions • Comfortable, soft grip helps absorb recoil, reducing fatigue over extended shooting sessions • Fiberglass reinforced skeleton for strength and perfect fit-to-action • Won’t harden with age; impervious to gun cleaning solvents/gun oils • Pillar bedding uses aluminum bosses for rock-solid accuracy • Barrel free-floats for maximum accuracy • Stocks come with ambidextrous palm swells, a “varminter” style forend, built-in swivel studs and Hogue recoil pad All HOWA M-1500’s feature: • One piece, forged steel receivers with flat bottom and integral recoil lug for strength • Hammer-forged barrels for precision rifling – and tack-driving accuracy • One-piece forged bolt with two large locking lugs for strength • A bolt face that completely surrounds the cartridge head, for safety • Powerful, M-16 style extractor for reliability • Fully adjustable trigger adjusts for sear engagement and weight of pull, and provides crisp, consistent let-off for a “custom” feel • Three position safety allows safe, single loading & secure lock-down • Lightweight, hinged floor plate opens at the touch of a button, eliminating awkward handling I topped it with a Vortex Viper 4-12x40 bdc ao scope. It is crystal clear an AWESOME scope for the money if they raised their price to 1000.00 it would still be worth it but for 399.00 it is a steal. On sunday me and Rick are going to push the 800 yard mark. I can't wait this will be fun

I am going to try and shoot a yote at 400 to 500 and see what it will do with the Federal Gold Metal.
-
Thanks for the info.

LOL that was good Merry Christmas to you all too. Have a good one buddy.

Great read and congrats to the little guy on a great elk. Hopefully MATTMAN don't read this. Great job. Congrats again.

140 Inches of Coues Bone!!!
willhunt4coues replied to azcouesandelk's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Right on congrats to you both and great video. -
It shoots the 168 Gold Metals great. I don't know now if I would change at all how good it is shooting.
-
Your 1-12 T will shoot anything from 125gr to 208gr. With the 208s you may need to get your speed up 2600fps for the bulets to stableize. Cool thanks for the info. I am shooting the Federal Gold Medal Match 168 hollow points. Has anyone taken an animal with it? Should I use the Federal Vital Shock 165? They have the same drop till you get out to 800 900 & 1000 they are a little different but I can compinnsated if I decide to go that far.

Fixed it for ya, Clay. Don't be taking stuff I write and putting words I did not say into it. You sure are making a bad name for yourself. -
Huntin Coues with a .250 Savage
willhunt4coues replied to STOMP442's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Great buck but he looks bigger than 111. -
I was told I needed a 165 or 168 in my 20" 1 in 12 twist .308. That was a gunsmith and a gun store that told me this. My gun shoots great with this ammo and even if someone told me to shoot 150 I wouldn't because they actually drop more at further distances.

My dad and him are brothers. He is not your grampa. LOL your funny.

looks like the white truck in the last photos is my Uncle Leroy buying the antlers. Great sets and nice finds.
