FIRST 100" COUES = FREE RAGE

Okay it started like this; I woke at 1:30 am and was out and on the road by 2:00 am. I was first headedto pick up my friend Andrew out in the hills. After we got to the blind the waiting began. We had lots of wildlife come in every half an hour. At about 6:00 am we had some coyotes come in and Andrew shot and missed. The a nice big jack rabbit came in and Andrew redeamed himself and got the jack. Then it happened at 9:30 on the dot we spotted 2 deer comming in to get a drink the first was a nice 2 point buck. The buck stopped right in front of the blind at 18 yards Andrew wanted to shoot so he drew back and guess what happened? He jumped the string. Andrew was soo disapointed he wanted to. I talked to him for awhile and calmed him down and said there will be more. At 10:00 a doe came in and we saw a nice looking buck behind her. But the buck did not want to come in. We watched with anticipation as the buck walked behind some brush and just stood there. After about 15 minutes we thought he had left and to our amazement he was still there we were excited so much we had forgot to keep looking around. As I slowly turned to look at Andrew I saw legs out his window and my first thought was, it was the Doe. As I lowered my head more and more to see his head THERE HE STOOD. The buck I was after was right there. All I could think was please let me get a shot. His tine length took my breath away. I slowly moved to position to take the shot and he acted like he was going to bolt. I drew my BOWTECH back (he was at 21 yards) and put the pin right behind his shoulder and realeased. Now that arrow seemed so fast that it looked like it went right in behind his shoulder but to my amazement that little booger jumped my string and it went in right behind his ribs and out right behind his other leg. WAHOO I had just shot my first archery and biggest buck yet at a perfect quartering away shot. He had only went 60 to 75 yards and expired. THIS BUCK WAS BAD A$$. He has an extra kicker on his left G2 and his bladed eyeguards were 1 1/2 thick. This is what dreams are made of and if you think you can't do it you can. Thanks for reading. Dreams do come true. He scored 101 net.

Treestandman wrote: I still can't believe that magazine posted the unit and a detailed map showing the detailed area of where this toad was killed. Scan the detailed area and post it.........IT SHOWS A MAP OF 24A not the place or even 5 mile area of where he killed it......WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU GUYS......I hunt this area and only this area and it does not bother me at all even if he did give the coordinates......Why don't you guys give it up already......man this is why people leave this forum......BASHING and name calling needs to stop.....come on you guys we all share a same intrest in COUES hunting so lets all just have fun and stop the SH*T. You should all be so lucky to have a trophy like that......instead of giving him crap why don't you ask how he hunted this beast and maybe you already know the tactics and maybe you will learn something. See the problem is when someone asks for advise everyone gives them SH*T but all they want is some advise (how to glass, shooting technics, stalking advice, ect ect ect) they don't care about YOUR spot they just want to learn and that is what this website is suppose to be about. This BASHING HAS GOT TO STOP!!!!! I have not posted too much because what is the point I may get bashed on I know of lots of people on here and almost every single one including me has been bashed on......come on you guys lets have some fun and if you want to speak you mind in a bad way PM them or just hold it in. We are now giving hunting a bad name. I did enjoy this site when I first started and it was nothing like this....lets come together and make it better than ever!!!!!

How to stop (or decrease) trail camera theft.

First I always Hide another cam way up in the tree so if they do get through the bear box and cable then I have their picture. BEAR BOX AND CABLE is one of the safest ways to go and Amanda sells one for the covert 1 and 2 in the store and you can also get them for all the other cams just get on Ebay and follow the link out. Sorry for your loss I just wish everyone can see a cam and wave and leave. Just my 2 cents.

You can always have someone make you a ladder or you can by one with the money you saved. The harness is a climber harness. But like switchback said a ground blind might be better. I bought one just because I already have two blinds and wanted something for a back up. It's up to you though. Just giving you all the deals we all look for.
