Alright, Alright, Alright.........who can’t live without this rifle?
-
The only thing that makes things better is buying something to forget the past..........Congrats to all that drawn for elk & lope, but now that everyone has had plenty of time to wipe the tears away...you can put that money toward this rifle and get ready for deer!!!

I appreciate ALL the extra feedback and talk about this gun. It’s truly a doozy.
-
Sweet, thanks Lance. That will definitely help.

I currently shoot a Kimber 270wsm classic. Lately after I shoot a few rounds, the bolt locks in place and I can’t lift up on the bolt handle and extract the spent shell. I then use the palm of my hand and beat/slap the handle. Eventually it releases and I can lift the handle up and it functions like it is supposed to. I clean it regularly, can’t see any burrs or damaged metal causing it to hang up. Any thoughts what could cause this?

Shooting my Kimber 270wsm since 2004, same ammo. It just started last year. Very well maybe that one box of factory stuff. I can shoot 1-2 just fine, next one gets stuck. Don't shoot it for awhile and same thing. Unfortunately I did save the brass, but couldn't tell you which one it was. The next time I go out I'll be sure to look at the casing of the one that hangs up.

I need to start, my list of wanting to do things keeps getting longer and longer.

I grab a box and use it, I’ve ordered from different suppliers. The Winchester BST 150 gr is hard to come by, so I get what I can when available. I’ll try a different box all together.

Great info, I have always used the store bought Winchester Silvertip ballistic 150 gr bullets. It really likes that and it just started doing it during last years jr and general deer hunt. Are you guys suggesting a 130gr or another brand of ammo at the same 150gr?

Drew a 37A tag along with 9 other hunting buddies. As you know Th/Fr was a complete weather phenomenon, our camp became a mud boggers paradise. Glad I brought 2 pairs of boots. One tag filled late Friday. Saturday got on them and what a blast to hunt them in the snow. Following tracks was a friggin blast. Got two more down. This morning we were able to drop 3 more. Fantastic trip, had a newbie hunter actually see some, put a stock on them yesterday and today but missed due to buck fever. He is hooked for next year. Good ole WGP making snack sticks and chorizo.

I will measure length of barrel and get weight tonight, as for twist; how would one find that out?

yea, the early 80’s to mid nineties when you camped 3-4 deep on Sandy Beach was the bomb. The amount of T&A, the locals selling breakfast burritos to cure the hangovers, the smell of race gas, riding wheelies down the road in the Malecon, Thrifty’s Ice Cream, doing beer bongs, eating dinner at El Capitan, trying to kick start your atc/quad in front of JJ’s and getting a presidential cheer when you actually did.....only memories now!!!!!
-
I remember the sand drags on Sandy Beach right in front of the Reef. Full blown dragsters, rails and quads hailing a$$ right next to you. You brought your beach chair and sat along the drag strip. The row of gringos on 1 side with high tide on the other as the barriers. Any one of those vehicles getting sideways would have killed multiple spectators....

I'll take it

Is pic #8 the accessory pouch? Do those just fit right on the side of the waist band of the KUIU harness system? I'm interested in it, if it does?
