The Well, The Pump, and the Ugly

ouch, at least it isn't to deep for labor costs. A pump company can definitely pull/reinstall in 1 day for sure. Most of the residential subm Grundfos and Goulds pumps along with the Franklin motors should have a 5 yr warranty. Maybe save a few bucks if it is under warranty.

The Well, The Pump, and the Ugly

Possible factors on low flow: -water table has dropped, you can check to see if the pump is surging when filling the tank -hole(s) in drop pipe (pull pump replace as needed) -faulty pump/motor (check the amperage while running, determine what HP the motor is and verify the amp reading). Your control box should state this info on the cover if it is single phase. I'm sure the well driller made the determination on how deep to drill from other wells within the area. If the pump is set that low near the bottom then it could just be a low flowing well, their is nothing you can do about that and the depth it is set at, that is probably why you have a storage tank so you can keep up with your demand with the use of a booster pump/psi tank. If the water is really bad and you have steel casing, you may have plugged casing slits. The pump would have to be pulled, well videoed to determine the condition of casing and then brushed and bailed, or have the casing sonar jetted, both are not cheap. With the casing being 7", you might be able to drill deeper but your casing size would be reduced to possible 4"-5" in diameter to fit inside the existing. Then you would need to see if your existing sub pump is capable of being lowered and have enough HP to pump the water to the surface. A larger HP pump along with possible larger subm cable will be needed as well. Good luck, hopefully it is a cheap fix.

    Which Scope?

There is a very nice Leupold V3 4.5-14x40 Boone & Crockett in the classified if I might say so myself, just saying. Only mounted to sight in the rifle. You won't be disappointed.

    WTB Bow for wife.

I have a PSE Discovery II on the site, great 1st bow to get into archery. Has the 3 pin site, D-loop, peep, arrow rest. No let off, up to 29lbs. It's backed off all the way. My 12 & 13 yr can pull it back no problem. Looking to get $100 for it. Won't break the bank and you can surely pass it into any young ones as well. Bow is in fantastic shape.

    PSE Discovery 2 Bow

Purchased from another CWT member recently, was a Xmas gift to my youngest son, but unfortunately a little too much for him at this time. Looking to get a smaller bow. Comes with 3 pin Trphy Ridge site (just purchased & installed), arrow rest, peep and D-loop. Bow looks practically new and unused. $110.00

    Kimber

Absolutely love my Kimber Classic 8400 270wsm wood stock, awesome caliber for sure. I don't load my own ammo, eventually one day I will, but it really likes the Winchester Ballistic Silvertips 150 Gr. Killed pigs, yotes, muley/Wt and elk.

    Daughter got it done

Took my daughter out of school to fill her tag today, she said they were only going to watch movies anyways. Went to Redington since it was close. Started glassing and the hills were littered with doe, every canyon and ridge had movement. Made it really fun looking to see which one of these had antlers. As we started to descend a small hill I look up and see a deer in a bowl, I tell my daughter get my newly won AES 15x56 binos out to see what we can see. I say, it's got horn. She immediately says, can I shoot it. Of course I say. We get set up and and I range it at 342 yds, see gets set up, extends the bi-pod legs and says, "how far is it". I responded 330, squeeze the trigger whenever your ready. Seconds later, boom and I see deer drop and tall grass twitching. Did I get it, she says. You sure did, the smile I got from her was from ear to ear. Walk down, tag it and drag it. By the way, she was all in camo, the blue shirt was just an undershirt. Unfortunately my youngest was not able to fill his tag yesterday, but he is oh so ready for 2017. Great year, awesome new memories and meat in the freezer. Headed to Rocky Point tomorrow for Thanksgiving. Turkey and rum & cokes on the beach. Life is good. Happy Thanksgiving to all CWT.
