In the 2nd pic, is that the baculum? If so, is it the bear or badger? And if all you CWT members (no pun intended) are curious what baculum is....just google it!!!

Come on all you Paparazzi.............more is always better. I know someone, knows someone, who is in the market to start viewing wildlife. -
5A N or S.........My 1st choice was this unit, 5AN Hopi Limited, call me crazy for doing that, but it was an awesome hunt last year and I had to do it again this year. Chased elk every day, had many shots. Connected on the 4th day. Hoping the satellite herd I found will still be there in Oct when I go back.

just checked the mailbox and it's official, all (3) kiddos , Nov 18-24 going Jr. any deer hunt in unit 33, plus picked up 1 leftover pig tag for same time & place. Loving the fact that it will be cooler in temps, a lot less snakes and no friggn bugs.

By far my favorite rimfire, good luck with the purchase.

Now that everyone has elk and deer tags, now would be the time to start viewing the progress of antler growth. Like description says, camera is brand new and comes with a bear security box. Will split the cost of shipping if necessary. -
Looks like a great horned owl, but if we get a couple of guesses maybe a pelican that was blown of course from Rocky Point.

Still wet behind the ears.........
Shooter McGavin posted a topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
Went up this morning to swap out my SD card and glad I did, there were 8070 pics. Dead batteries last picture date was 7/27. The morning was half way decent so I sat on a rock and glassed up 15 doe and 4 little velvety bucks, but on the hike back came across this little guy hunkered amongst the tall grass. Was able to snap a pic. -

Numerous doe, few bucks with very early stages of antler growth, bobcat, fox and a very energetic nocturnal bird. -
you fished the kenai everyday, then went to the sizzler to eat seafood? that aint right Yea that seems funny. We didn't catch fish everyday and the ones we did catch we had toss back due to not enough fish had gone up stream. The fish we did eat were from the canaries. It's amazing how you can stuff a salmon/halibut down the front of your overalls and walk out to your truck, needless to say we smelled awful. Like I said we trying to survive.
-
Those pics sure brought back some awesome memories. In 90' me and 3 buddies drove up there and stayed in a forest just outside of Kenai for 4 months in a tent. We probably worked 1 month total in the canaries, but fished everyday on the Kenai. What little pay we earned we headed up to Soldotna and pigged out at the Sizzler. The sure blueness of the Kenai is something to see for sure. Hopefully you guys were able to eat the Halibut cheeks, by far the tastiest part of the fish. We had them blackened and then dipped in a cayenne butter dipping sauce. One day I'll get back there to enjoy the trip as a vacation rather than a survival trip. Wouldn't change the memories though.... Good times for sure.
