I met some friends out in 36A for there Mule deer hunt and brought my shotgun this afternoon. The wind absolutely obnoxious, but I was able to knock down: 4-quail 2-dove There was a large concrete tank being fed by a well pump. I heard running and to look. I saw something I’ve never seen before, I think the rancher put them in there to help with the mosquitos…maybe?

Definitely could have filled a small kiddie pool if I rung my clothes out 😂😅🤣

Wasn’t my best day of shooting, shot 11 but was able to bag 8 and lost 3 in the tall grass. The birds were talkative till about 10:30 and the coveys were good sized. Then while driving down a wash I noticed a nope rope, needless to say he met his maker. Don’t need him in any of the bushes I’m looking for downed birds in.

In Tucson I highly recommend “The Boot Bunkhouse”, on Pima Rd, just west of Turners’s Outdoors. The owner Chuck is a great guy. He’s resoled (2) pairs of Danner’s for me over the years, absolutely great work. I just dropped off a pair of Crispi’s on Thursday, he said they’ll be done next Wednesday. $85.00.
