Well on the initial elk draw we drew 0/4 tags……we were absolutely bummed!!!! Mailed 4 individual apps for 5BN limited cow hunts from Tucson on Thursday, all weekend I was thinking did it get there early and they kicked it out or did make there today. Well I checked my portal today at 4:30….boom tag #13-hunt 3812 10/17-23 drawn for myself. Asked my daughter to check her portal….boom tag 3811 10/10-16 for her. Asked my youngest boy checked his portal….boom tag #12-hunt 3812 10/17-23. So back to back hunts for us three. So far 3 for 4. My oldest is on his way home to check his account🤞, just maybe!!!!!

Thank you I talked to the postal service guy and asked "ok, if I mail this today when should it arrive, I need it in there hands by Monday" he said it should be there Saturday, but definitely Monday. I also contemplated, which I've done in the past paid the expedited 2-day delivery service for about $10 and change. I've been drawn twice before for these leftovers, but the amount of tags is usually a lot less than what was available this time.

Well well well, my oldest did get a tag!!! 4 for 4 Daughter got the 10/10-16, the rest of us got 10/17-23 same hunt unit.

Went out this morning with 2 of my buddies to do one last day of quail. Absolute beautiful morning, quail were talkative but were very skittish. Was able to bag 9, lost 3. My buddies got 1 bird each and a total of 3 cottontails. Couldn’t believe the amount of lizards that were out, was just waiting to come across a nope rope.

Been to Key West for drinking and site seeing only, never for fishing. Only fished in the Everglades in and around the 10,000 islands, but if you can go after snook, redfish, large jewfish and tarpon you won’t be disappointed.

Going to be Phx tomorrow (Warner/I-10) I can bring the ammo up with me if anybody is interested.

Got up late, scrambled to get my stuff loaded and was able to park the truck at 0900. 1st bird down at 0905, 15th bird dropped and picked up at 1145. The birds (very large coveys) were absolutely everywhere and they were talking up a storm till 1130. Not a single dove, but I’m ok with that.
