SOLD-SOLDBrowning shotgun for sale-SOLD-SOLD

I am sure this will open up a can of worms, but I think the law states you can't sell a handgun to anyone under the age of 21 regardless of private owner or through a dealer, long guns (shotguns/certain rifles) you have to be 18. I would be careful and verify age. People who are under the age of 21 can own handguns but the guns have to be a gift from a parent or gaurdian.

I have Badlands Tree Hugger fanny pack in the classifieds for $65.00, they sell new for $99.95. Great fanny pack for the price. PS Don't beat up the name "Tree Hugger" it's seen plenty of blood, guts and eyeballs.

Sent mine on June 9, got confirmation that it arrived at destination. Now it's a waiting game. Even though its free of charge, I am little scared that some schmuck in the shipping/receiving department might walk off with my gun between here and there. I did inquire with Harry Lawson Gunsmithing and he wanted $150, wondering if I should have kept it local and supported a Tucson business. The world is full of good people......right!!!!!

Last year I had my 10 yr do the online class because their were no classes available (Tucson area) at that time and I wanted him to partake in the fall javelina and deer for 2012. I sat with him and we took turns reading aloud each paragraph, he did one then I did the other. When it was time to take the test after each section we wrote down each question and then he would answer them. Any of the wrong answers we went back through and reread that portion. It took some time (staring at a computer is an awful way to learn) to get through the whole class and then he took the final exam, he ended up passing which allowed us to sign him up for the field day. I want to say it was at least 1 1/2-2 months out from when we finished the on line course. The field day was great, the instructors went over a lot of the info that the on line class talked about, but the actual test had many questions that really weren't discussed. The final test was very long, I want to say at least 11 of the kids didn't pass the first go around, but the instructors then took each kid aside and walked them through each of the questions they missed to get a passing grade. I have 2 more kids that need to take the firearm saftey class and I will not do the on line class again. I feel the classroom setting will be more intimate and allow the kids to ask questions, get to know other kids and share stories, plus make some new friends. I remember taking the class 33 yrs ago when I was 10 and still remember being taught T-A-B and being that I have children this is the first rule they learned and recited prior to picking up a firearm. Just my 2 cents

Browning (Beretta) B80 12 gauge questions
Shooter McGavin posted a topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I recently picked up a Browning (Beretta) B80 semi auto 12 gauge, 28' barrel, 3" chambered with threaded chokes really gorgeous shotgun. I have read that this gun is really picky about 2 3/4" ammo. I want to use it mostly for dove and quail. Does anybody have one out there that they are using and what brand 12g shells are you using if it is 2 3/4 dia. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks -

Would you take your kids to hunt down south?
Shooter McGavin replied to Adicted's topic in The Campfire
Last year I took my 10 yr old to 36B for his Wt hunt (successful), because we live in Tucson and doing day trips was not an issue. We both had rifles and sidearms, I let him carry a 22 caliber sidearm he thought that was really cool. The whole way down there I prepped him for the "what when situations" and told him if we were to get into a problem to use as needed. Glad we didn't have too. Never saw any illegals but the trash and make shift huts were everywhere. If I owned some type of a travel trailer camping wouldn't be an issue (I do it all the time with my buddies on the genral hunts), tent maybe not so much just for securing items. Like most replies have stated, camp near others and preferrably off a main road. There are plenty of main roads with plenty of pull-offs to park trailers. Good luck. -

22 ammo isn't that hard to find without paying an arm and leg. This is a very fine fine specimen. Weather is perfect for getting out early and teaching a young one all about firearm safety and why not do it with this little p-shooter.
