    VERY DISAPPOINTED AND RATHER DISGUSTED

I am shocked, are you telling me that the butcher you use doesn't put dirt and sticks in your meat. I guess it must be some new thing down in good ole Tucson. I am kidding with ya. As for cleaning the meat, I can tell you out of the all pigs, deer and a few elk that I have shot there is no way you can get all the hair/sticks/dirt off prior to getting it to the butcher if you are in the field with limited cleaning supplies. A good butcher WILL do that for you, with the exception of an occasional hair. I have found a good butcher and will continue to use and brag about him.

    VERY DISAPPOINTED AND RATHER DISGUSTED

I agree with you on that there are good ones and bad ones, like I said in the post I only used this outfit once, my buddy took his deer there. I wish he would have called me first. I have found a very good and reputable meat processor way before I started dabbling on the CWT site. I am not blaming anybody, I am just disappointed.

    (4) military GI camping cots-used

Used-4 military GI camping cots. Three out of the four can be assembled and slept on instantly, the fourth one needs a new plastic end cap insert(broken off) picture shows what I am talking about. These parts can be ordered on Ebay (Military Cot repair part- Dowell Plug) it appears they are starting out at $2.00 plus shipping. I just haven't gotten around to order this piece and install it. All 4 cots $100.00 or $30.00 each if want individual ones.

    Looking for compound bow

I tried that when I shot a few of the bows at PSE and the techs there said it was still a bit short for my draw length. They said you could possibly get a longer loop as well as an adjustable release with the bending of my left arm and it would work but then there would be no extra room for any kind of adjustments or room for errors. Not in a huge rush, one will turn up eventually. It gives me more time to save $$$$. Thanks though, all help/advice is surely appreciated.

How many rounds of ammo do you carry?

I generally carry the full twenty out of the box into the field: 270WSM 140 gr 3 in the mag, 1 in the chamber 4 in (L) front pocket 4 in ® front pocket the remaining in fannypack FNP 9 MM 17 in gun back up mag filled to the brim in fannypack as well I always have another full box in my camping box back at camp for those just in case days. I wish I could say that on past hunts that I have never had to dip into those, but that would be a little white lie.

Does anyone know what this Bug is???

definitely a jerusulum cricket, we saw the same thing in unit 33 last week. Not your everyday cricket though.
  14. Well what can I say except laugh with me and thank me for removing this deer from the WT gene pool so that it never breeds and warps our whitetail population again. Shot it opening morning @ 6;32 AM in unit 33. Story goes like this: woke up at 4 AM and made my long 1 1/2 hour trek (by foot) to my special spot (not knowing how really special it was going to be). So around 6;25 this buck walks into view, I range it @ 182yds just for poops and giggles . I am thinking alright the bucks are on the move. So I say to myself WOW, if I were to shoot this how much grief am I going to get from my buddies, but at the same time thinking meat in the freezer. I take the safety off and decide ok, if I miss the 1st shot and the deer runs off that it wasn't meant to be. I aim and shoot, I do end up missing but the deer actually start to trot closer to me. I tell myself one more, so once again I miss and again it just stay right there. Now I am kind of getting a little upset for missing, so the 3rd shot goes off and I miss again. Now I am thinking what if these are signs from the man upstairs telling me to hold off for a larger buck. Nope I tell myself and try again because what if this was a really big buck and how horrible would I feel if I never connected, so I try again. So I line up again and boom the deer goes down, whew I tell myself and give me a high five. I walk down to the deer and start chuckling, my buddies call me on the radio and ask if I got it and how big. I told them yes I did get it but they would have to wait until they got back to camp to admire the sheer magnitude of this buck. I did end up going out as an extra set of eyes with my buddies, but never did see another buck just does. Maybe it was meant to be, but I can tell you this, I will not be shopping in the meat section at Fry's or Costco anytime soon. Enjoy the pic!!!

My good friends jr deer hunt

My friend's son shot this deer in unit 33 on 10/9/11, he had an any antlered deer tag for this unit. I wasn't there to witness the shot, but I did get the whole story and this pic. He said it was a coues, but by looking at the tail and dark patch on the forehead it appears to be a muley, maybe I am wrong. I guess it could even be one of those hybrids. Any help on distinguishing it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Huntin' Jokes

What is the fastest thing? A CEO is need of a new assistant and puts an ad in the paper stating "If you can convince me what is the fastest thing out there in life you will get the job, an incredible salary with incredible benefits". A day later 4 men arrive in his office and sit down with the CEO to go over their answers. The first man states, it is a thought; "thoughts just pop in your head all the time" the CEO is very impressed and looks to the second man to see if he can beat that. The second man says that is fast, but unfortunately a blink is even faster. Blinks happen all time without you even realizing it. The CEO is really impressed and agrees with the second applicant and then turns to the third man and asks if he can top that. The third man replies without a doubt, it has to be light. I have a barn out where I live and it is 100 yds away from my house and all I have to do is flip on the switch and BOOM, the light is on. The CEO is just floored and agrees with the third man that his answer is the fastest thing out there. He turns to the 4th canidate and asks if he can beat that. The fourth guy stands up and says yep, it's diarrhea. They all start laughing at him and ask do tell. The man explains that the other night he stopped for Taco Bell and ordered the Nacho Supreme, 4 soft tacos and the Chalupa. By the time he got home he had finished everything and was unlocking his front door, but before he could THINK, BLINK or turn on the LIGHT he crapped his pants. Needless to say he got the job.

    Smith & Wesson 20 gauge-auto shotgun

I purchased this from another CWT member and it was brand new still in the original box (unassembled) about 1 1/2 months ago. I took it out on opening dove weekend just to shoot and see how it shot. Shoots great, got my limit but prefer my trusty 12 gauge. Possible trade for a compound bow (30" draw, 60-70 # preferrably) if any takers.

    Tucson Game Processor

Hands down WGP. Jonathan is absolutely great at processing the meat, getting your game back to you very quickly and further more getting what YOU killed back to YOU. PH'#s 349-9635 or 292-2262. Sausages/snack sticks are fantastic. He is located NW area behind Famous Sam's off of Ruthrauff Rd/Kain. I use him every time a tag is filled.
