My friend's son shot this deer in unit 33 on 10/9/11, he had an any antlered deer tag for this unit. I wasn't there to witness the shot, but I did get the whole story and this pic. He said it was a coues, but by looking at the tail and dark patch on the forehead it appears to be a muley, maybe I am wrong. I guess it could even be one of those hybrids. Any help on distinguishing it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

What is the fastest thing? A CEO is need of a new assistant and puts an ad in the paper stating "If you can convince me what is the fastest thing out there in life you will get the job, an incredible salary with incredible benefits". A day later 4 men arrive in his office and sit down with the CEO to go over their answers. The first man states, it is a thought; "thoughts just pop in your head all the time" the CEO is very impressed and looks to the second man to see if he can beat that. The second man says that is fast, but unfortunately a blink is even faster. Blinks happen all time without you even realizing it. The CEO is really impressed and agrees with the second applicant and then turns to the third man and asks if he can top that. The third man replies without a doubt, it has to be light. I have a barn out where I live and it is 100 yds away from my house and all I have to do is flip on the switch and BOOM, the light is on. The CEO is just floored and agrees with the third man that his answer is the fastest thing out there. He turns to the 4th canidate and asks if he can beat that. The fourth guy stands up and says yep, it's diarrhea. They all start laughing at him and ask do tell. The man explains that the other night he stopped for Taco Bell and ordered the Nacho Supreme, 4 soft tacos and the Chalupa. By the time he got home he had finished everything and was unlocking his front door, but before he could THINK, BLINK or turn on the LIGHT he crapped his pants. Needless to say he got the job.

I purchased this from another CWT member and it was brand new still in the original box (unassembled) about 1 1/2 months ago. I took it out on opening dove weekend just to shoot and see how it shot. Shoots great, got my limit but prefer my trusty 12 gauge. Possible trade for a compound bow (30" draw, 60-70 # preferrably) if any takers.

My buddy and I were hunting javelina in unit 33 between the Mt. Lemmon control road and the San Pedro river. We were casually walking up the gas line road when I noticed 2 piggies roughly 50 yds away, I said I got pigs lets get them. I will take the top pig you take the one underneath it. I told him on my count to three we will shoot them, apparently he didn't hear me. So we both sat down, got the pigs in ours sights, I took a deep breath and exhaled and Ka-Blam he shoots and scares the poo at of me, I jump and find the pigs again only to see them running off. Needless to say he missed I missed and I turn to ask him what the heck, his reply was he thought my big exhale was the cue to squeeze the trigger. Once again good friends+good times=fantastic stories around the camp fire.

I wanna say this happened in the late 80's not to me, but to my best friend. A buddy and I went dove hunting where Fantasy Island is( a mountain biking area) @ Irvington/Harrison in Tucson. To this day my buddy always says "I hope I don't run into any snakes", well with that being said I happened to come across a 6' Gopher Snake that day. Since I am a nice guy, I decided to catch it and give up on hunting and give my buddy a sweet surprise. I headed back to the jeep and proceeded to stick the snake in his soft gun case. As the sun began to set he came strolling up and of course we compared how we did, I told him 5-6 and replied that he got his limit. As I went to the back of the jeep I patiently waited for him to get his gun case out and lay it on fold down tailgate of his jeep. At this time I stepped back off to the side and watched him unzip his case, he then flipped over the flap and HOLY$&*% this snake I swear grew wings because it came flying out, my buddy jumped straight backwards and at least 10' upwards, I fell to the ground peeing my pants and rolling around hysterically, I believe I was called every name in the book twice and I think he even started to speak Chinese because nothing made sense. To this day I call him up and just start laughing at him and he knows exactly what I am laughing about, good friends+good memories last a lifetime.

Unfortunately no, I used a stick to get it out from under the tree and didn't want to scare all the wildlife in the area by shooting it with my pistol, so I dropped a big rock on it. It just happened to move last second and it tore a good chunk of the skin off its back, I was bummed because I wanted to skin it and show it off. It got really angry at this time so another bigger rock came crashing down. I did salvage the rattle though. Thanks for asking.

Shot Feb 20th, 2010 in unit 36A, shot with a Kimber 270WSM @ 10 yds Quick story: On the 2nd day of our javelina hunt while driving back to camp I noticed something dart off of this outcropping of rocks about about 60yds away. I asked my buddy if he saw it and he said he didn't. At this time I'm thinking, was this a cat. So I stop the truck get out and start walking toward the rocks, the wind was howling so bad that day (in my favor at this time) that I knew whatever it was would never hear me sneeking up toward it. As I get up to the rocks I turn and look toward my buddy and raise my hands up into the air and do a "OH WELL" shrug. I take a few steps around the rocks and notice the lion is crouched down (roughly 10 yds away)looking directly at my buddy who at this time is standing/resting on the side of the truck bed just looking at me. At this time I fill my britches thinking to myself holy bajesus, raise my rifle and Ka-Blam. The lion fell backwards off of the rocks about 5' and just glared at me with the darkest black eyes that I ever ever seen (kinda spooky actually) a few seconds go by and I start hootin and hollering yelling at my buddy that I got it. Tagged it and took it to WGP to keep it cool because AZGF wasn't open on the weekend to do there check-in procedure. I took it to AZGF on Monday, they took a fat sample, a tooth, sex (it was a tom) and they took info from me on where/what & when? I then took it to Lippert/Doyle Taxidermy so that they could skin it and tan the hide for me. One day and many $$$$ I will get a full body mount. I have the skull on the mantle and hide in the freezer, let me tell you I love showing it off to guests who come on over. I did get a letter from AZGF and they said the lion was 9 years old. By the way I had WGP process the meat and my family and I couldn't stop eating it, it was that good. I personally think it was better than elk-call me crazy. I have hunting for 30 years and have only seen 3 cats, sure wish I could get one every year.

I have a muzzle loader that I picked up at an estate sale, inside where the cloth patches are kept it is stamped Eagle Rifle Works and it appears to be JA GOLKER, not 100% sure. I don't have a clue if it shoots or if it is just a conversation piece. Any help on steering me in the right direction to see if it is valuable or just a dust collector. It is really cool looking, but not really interested in keeping it. Thanks in advance for any help.
