My wife shot hers last year with 100 grain Rem Core Lokt at 365yds. The buck did a back flip and slid down the hill stone dead. A lot of that is shot placement but the bullet was quite effective.

Man, I thought you had taken a vow of silence. No more hot air about it from you and the problem went away. Now you done started a heat wave just before deer season. I thought it felt warmer this week. -

Ok, one last reply and then I'm really done. The scripture proves nothing. As I have already mentioned it was written by MAN. Many years AFTER the death of Christ. Sure you can validate that it was written when it was written. Doesnt make it true. "based on a true story" perhaps. Then there are the translations all hand written by scribes. Every copy was different. Finally in who knows what year the church canonized various gospels and compiled the KJV. They agreed upon what best to present as their teachings. All done by man. If we want to base truth on everything we read then I guess I will go get some Dino DNA from amber and start cloning T-rex's to use in the war on terror. It was written so it must be true. -

Even though our views are vastly different, I sincerely appreciate the gesture and your concern for my spiritual well being. In my view I am not hostile towards him. I believe he was a genius among men in his time. Thanks to all for the (mostly) civil discussion. -

Maybe you missed the part where I mentioned that, I bolded it below. But for further clarification the bible(new testament obviously) was written during the period of appx 40ad to 200ad and later and not a word of it penned by Jesus himself. Much more was written than is included in the KJV. Some of it is actually quite absurd from what I have read of it. Perhaps you should read the bible. And the disincluded gospels. Perhaps you should read the whole post before you quote it and respond. This is going to quickly turn into a pissing contest and I want no part of it so I am done with this thread. I don't believe he ever made any claim to divinity. It was his followers who were looking for more than a teacher that diefied him. Other than the bible; what records of his life exist? If a guy was going around claiming to be God there surely would have been more written during his life rather than years after his death. The Romans crucified lots of people for lots of things. I believe Jesus' followers immortalized him as a martyr and he "became" God after his death. Mr. Smith, you should spend some time in the bible. You are wrong. Jesus claimed (and is!) to be the Son of God. Matthew 16:13 13 When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?”[c] 14 “Well,” they replied, “some say John the Baptist, some say Elijah, and others say Jeremiah or one of the other prophets.” 15 Then he asked them, “But who do you say I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah,[d] the Son of the living God.” 17 Jesus replied, “You are blessed, Simon son of John,[e] because my Father in heaven has revealed this to you. You did not learn this from any human being. 18 Now I say to you that you are Peter (which means ‘rock’),[f] and upon this rock I will build my church, and all the powers of heck[g] will not conquer it. 19 And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid[h] on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.” 20 Then he sternly warned the disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Messiah. Good post Marshall. I feel I need to clarify something. I do not condone homosexuality. However I will argue in favor of freedom every time, regardless of who I am arguing for. If Christians freedoms were under attack I would argue for them too. It doesn't matter. -

I don't disregard your views. I generally respect religious people and their beliefs. Hence I type Christianity with a capital C and God with a capital G. For the most part religious folks are a pretty good group of people and honestly I would rather be surrounded by churchies than druggie hedonists any day. Who wouldn't? I applaud you all for having the courage of your convictions. A lot of people are only religious when it is convenient. To me that is worse than being completely religious or completely non-religious. I don't hate or dispise God or the concept of God. Doing so would be admitting existence. I do believe Jesus lived and may have been a great teacher/philosopher, just minus all the miracles and divinity. Kind of the Jefferson Bible approach. Thomas Jefferson took his bible and eliminated all the miracles and supernatural stuff and found it to be a great story of morality and guidlines for life. Google it; "Jefferson Bible" Here I've done it for you; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jefferson_Bible This discussion has been fun. But as mentioned previously nobody is going to change anybodies mind. My intended purpose was to point out that the constitution should not be used to deny rights. However, this topic cannot be separated from it's theological background. Lastly; JHAM, isn't it fun having a family member with opposing views? I debate evolution with my catholic father in law all the time. It's a hoot. -

First off. No I'm not gay. I do have family members who are and believe it or not I still love them. Saying they are going to destroy society seems pretty darned hateful. Not angry and not gay. I find it funny that you would beat around calling me an angry homo though. Why not just straight up accuse? By assuming that your way is absolutely right and theirs is absolutely wrong. Just the same as I am being accused of being the same bigot I accuse others of being just because I deny that Christianity is absolutely right. Again I didn't get upset. I just point out what I believe are flaws in logic. Homosexuals are not going to destroy society. Married heterosexuals are not going to rush out and get divorces because marriage is no longer exclusively thiers. Rembrant; if you want to know who I am it isn't hard to find out. It's Mr.Smith on almost all of the AZ forums. Check out AZSJ I have over 3K posts. I like to stir the pot a bit and try to raise awareness. I know I won't change anybodies mind but it's fun to get people all riled up. If you are going to call me names at least be starightforward about it or don't do it at all. Otherwise a nice civil discussion. One last note. I found this website hilarious. I'm sure most of you will love it. Prop 102 -

It's not the opinion but the intolerance of the opinion of others. I don't discriminate aginst you. I do not want to take away anyones rights. I do believe in letting people vote but regardless of the popular opinion it is wrong to relieve someone of equal rights. It's like the old quote about two wolves and a sheep voting on whats for dinner. -

Not my definition, Dictionary.com. I can look for another if you'd like. And no I don't care for figure skating. As for rejecting things. Thats not bigotry. It is discrimination that makes it so. Nobody is trying to withold the rights of Christians. I believe in freedom. You know; "Liberty and Justice for all" -

OK The reason people give to justify amending the constitution cannot/should not be strictly religious. So they give the monetary reasons. It's all about survivor benefits and insurance. As for your question. No, I despise PETA. I give my money to the NRA, RMEF, DU, DAV (Disabled American Veterans) and Paralized Veterans of America. If I had more I would probably give to more sportsmen friendly conservation groups. I'm not sure what you are getting at but it seems you make an assumption about me and my knowledge of world religions and Christianity. I grew up a Christian. I believed and I attended services. During my time in the Army I started questioning things and learning more and more. I almost minored in religious studies in college but decided against delaying graduation a semester just so I could take two more classes to get a minor. I'm not telling anyone what they believe, just staing observations. I know it is stereotyping to attribute my observations of X-number of people onto the whole but if it looks like a dog and barks like a dog...One might be inclined to think it is a dog. The biggest point of this thread is religious freedom as pointed out in the original post. People want to discriminate against homosexuals because they do not share their religious values. Thus taking away the freedom of another demographic. -

Hatred, militant discrimination, same diff. Not necessarily directly taught at church but in the home. Intolerance is taught to children when children associate these people with sin they are parallelled with the devil. THuis children also grow up intolerant. Freedom of religion includes all religions, not just Christianity. It is not freedom from religion. reminds me of a bill board I saw downtown. I am not trying to change anyones mind on anything. Just trying to raise awareness. -

So what about the religious freedoms of non christians? Or do you simply say/imply; F! non-christians? Constitutions guarantee rights not take them away. People like to make this issue about "the sanctity of marriage" and the meaning of the word. Puh-LEASE! This is all about money. Christians don't want THEIR tax dollars funding something THEIR religion doesn't condone. However a person regardless of sexual orientation color or religion should be able to choose whomever they please as the recipient of their benefits. ll of the arguements made so far are weak based entirely on faith and opinion. You could substitute the word black or hindu with every gay or homosexual reference and see how silly this arguement is. This amendment proposition simply furthers the image of Christian egocentricism. This blatant bigotry is why I rejected Christianity. Hate everyone who is not Christian and despise those not of the same denomination. Hmmm a religion that pushes hatred and calls it tolerance and if you're a good little hater you get a prize after you die. -
Never attack the ones you love in any way. (physical, verbak, mental...) It just builds animosity and deteriorates the relationship. Plus, Remember they are the ones who could kill you most easily while you sleep.

OK say you have six BP's. That means you get six entries into the number generator to try for the lowest number you can get. Then that one number is used for the draw. Say you put in for a unit with 20 permits. If your number is less than 20 you get drawn. If your number is greater than 20 you get the consolation prize of going through the second drawing for third through fifth choices for which the same process is repeated only it is for the permits that did not get drawn in the first and second choice drawing. Does that make sense?

I spoke with Connie in the draw section today and she said it would be a couple days before we would find out. So I'm guessing Wednesday.
