Got a burro mtn tag. Any emails about pronghorn? Brent

Print License(s) ************* 1 04/19/2014 $65.00 SOLD View Receipt I asked for a refund and after reading your post, I looked at my purchases. Who knows???
-
Yes, Court's appt said the same thing. It would be cool if it did work but I have the same reservations. We both put in for units that has like 2.5 tags per hunt for non-residents. That would be pretty awesome. That being said, the last time we drew New Mexico, Court got a burro's youth hunt and I drew the burro's archery hunt. It could happen. Brent

So did I. We will see.

Best powder for 7wsm 162 gr bullet?
cohofishing replied to Webber's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I use 64 grains of H4831sc in my load for the 7wsm, 162 grain bullets. Like 4350 for my 300wsm. Brent -
Had a pocket start to come off of a merino wool shirt. Sent them some pictures. Got a email on where to have it shipped and a week later I got my shirt in the mail with a note explaining what they did. Quick and easy. Brent

Wow. Great set up for a great price. Wish I had drawn a elk tag...maybe if New Mexico comes thru I will give you a call. Brent

I'm looking for a new career if you know anyone hiring.
cohofishing replied to bowhuntaz1's topic in The Campfire
Same with the Union Pacific. It is tough starting out on the bottom but it is worth it. You apply online. www.up.com You could use my name. Brent -
Finally got a minute to watch the video. Awesome. Sums up all the thoughts we should all be having when we get a chance to hunt. We don't realize how lucky we have it. Great job Brent
-
I was wrong. I have never had reason to but as truehunter pointed out, you can delete your application. You lose your $20 (not $8 like I mentioned before) and you receive your refund after the draw. Tried to draw New Mexico for years and have never noticed that. Thanks for pointing that out. Brent
-
You have to buy the license when you apply. There is a box that you have to check to get the license refunded if you don't draw. You get everything back minus the fee. If you check that box, it will not let you print a license until you draw. I looked at my refund from last year and got it all back minus the $8. Been doing it for years. Not sure where you read that but unless they changed something, it always seems to work. Brent

Glad I wasn't the only one

Colorado allows you to turn your tag back in but if I understand it correctly, you have to choose between a refund or your points restored. You have till the season starts to do so. Brent
-
No. New Mexico charges up front with a refund if you don't draw. You can not cancel it. Brent
-
Yep, mine is done. I sure like the way New Mexico does the draw. As a non resident, the odds aren't great but we have gotten lucky a couple of times. Next state up, Colorado. Maybe by that deadline, we will have the Arizona results. Brent

Anyone recognize this tree stand and Camera?
cohofishing replied to Bownut98's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
The one thing we have going for ourselves as hunters is "the first one to a spot gets the spot" rule. Unless you hunting on private property, no one owns a spot. Doesn't matter if you hang a tree stand and a camera or not; it's still not your spot. Most of our hunts in Arizona are limited draw, so no one truly knows that they are ever get to hunt a spot from one year to another. Yes, I know there are over the counter tags, but to believe that someone should not hunt a spot because there is a camera or a tree stand there is nuts. As far as effort goes, the gentleman that hiked in there and took the picture pretty much put the same effort into the "spot" as the guy that hung the stuff. Had a guy accuse me of being lazy because I was bear hunting a spring that he had a camera on. Swore at me, yelled, and ranted and raved. It was the last day the unit was open and he showed up at 400pm, walked by my truck and ruined my evening hunt all because he had a camera on a tree. I had been on that spring since 430am and had sat it a number of times during that hunt. Never saw another hunter. Truth be told, I have pictures of him hanging his camera on my trail camera that I put on that spring before he did. I offered to let him share the spring because it was the last night but he would have nothing of it. One of the spots that I had a camera on last year, had a camera on it and my camera pointed right at it. It was never checked in three months. Like someone said, I know of spots that have tree stands that have been left for years. Here's a thought. Arizona and other states have a "hunter interference law". The law doesn't state that it has to be a anti hunter. If a hunter finds someone in his "spot" and loses his cool, makes a issue out of it, picks a fight, draws a gun, etc; isn't that breaking the law. I say hunt the spot; leave his gear alone and if he beats you to it, go to another spot. I don't think that anyone in Arizona can truly believe that there is a spot in this state that has never been hunted before and that you can claim it as your own, just because you hung a stand or a camera on it. Just got home from another trip. Sitting here reading some of these posts. I find it interesting, that the people pooh, poohing a few of us that tried to update our payment info during the last 24 hours that it was opened to do so, are sitting waiting to apply to New Mexico til they know if they drew in Arizona. Doesn't that make you all procrastinators? I understand why your doing it. I am doing it myself. But dang, if the shoe fits.... I had my appts in long before the deadline. I got my new chase card a couple weeks ago. I didn't ask for it. I didn't even realize my wife had used it at target. Changed my info but forgot to change my daughter's. A deadline is a deadline. End of story. Sure hope we don't all crash New Mexico's site Brent
-
Wow. Not all of us have jobs where we get to be at the right place at the right time. Got home from a long trip to El Paso and realized I forgot to change my daughter's card after chase decided to send me a new one. Try working the hours I do and remember everything. A deadline is a deadline. 600am is not waiting til the last minute. I manage to have no problems with three other states
-
Thanks for the heads up. There are days when I wish they would just charge up front like most of the rest of the western states
-
I tried to get through to the game and fish office in Phoenix. I hoping to get some info on the "update your credit card" fiasco that started yesterday. I got tried of being on hold. Maybe I will try again latter. Good luck on the draw. Brent
-
Has anyone tried to update their info today? I tried to change the credit card on my daughter's appt and the system time out. Gateway timeout failure something or other was the message. The credit info was changed but I am not sure if it verified. Seems like the system is acting up already. Brent

Rob, I will buy the knifes. I will pick them up when I get the mesh. It might be a couple of days if that is okay. Brent
