Amazon had them for $650 for the second focal plane over xmas. I bought two of them. SWFA was selling them thru amazon cheaper than their own website. I saw one for $735 on Amazon this morning but different seller. Brent

Custom rifle gun smith
cohofishing replied to SEAZCoues's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I own a gun from Craig's custom rifles in Tucson that is awesome and he is rebuilding Courtney's 264 win mag for me right now. Great guy. Does great work -
I was wondering if anyone that was involved in the spring draw mess got drawn or has seen their results on the portal. Little history. My credit card got charged twice when I tried to put in for my spring draw tags using chrome. Twice, I entered my information and the system gave me a error message when trying to finish the purchase. I didn't think about looking at my card to see if I had gotten charged. I switched to firefox and re entered the purchase. It worked fine. I got my emails confirming the purchases and I was able to print my license. After a few calls, I did finally get refunded the extra charges last week. I just looked on the portal and I have no posted results for the spring. Still shows my sheep and deer draw results. Makes me wonder if I even got entered into the draw. I had no posted charges so I figured no tags for me but now I wonder... Has anyone had this experience for this spring draw? I know paper, paper, paper...My answer is Multiply states a year, not one problem. Just wondering if anyone else feels like they didn't get entered into the draw properly. I will call the office later today. Brent

I wear a large for kuiu clothes. Generally, the complaints are that their fit runs small. I am 5'5" 150lbs and the large jacket is perfect with a little room for some layers. I think my super down is a medium

I use a kuiu guide jacket and carry the super down for the real cold mornings. Mine is in the verde camo. Works great. I ordered some of the teton line. Very appealing for the price. I love the super down. I order a pair of pants just to sleep in. Like wearing a down sleeping bag. I listened to a podcast where the kuiu guy was talking about weathering out a storm in his set of super down under his rain gear. I believe it. I carry mine everywhere when out bivying. Sleeping in a set doubles how much cold I can handle in my 30 degree down bag. I hear you about collecting stuff on your clothes. I used to wear microtex a lot but it collects everything. Cat claw will do some damage but even as short as I am, it is usually the pants that take the beating. Brent

I was able to call Phoenix and the lady told me I did get entered into the draw, but did not draw a tag, which I already knew. I am able to sign in to the portal, but it still doesn't show the spring results. Brent

Just made a bone in roast today. Braise in a roaster pan with a couple cups of water, one pound of cooked bacon and all the grease. Couple cups of green chili. Salt, pepper, garlic, and cumin. I cook mine for four hours at 275. Strain off the juice. Make a green chilli gravy over pulled venison and mashed potatoes. Doing corn with it tonight.

Got to stick up for kuiu as well. Been a customer from day one. I own a couple sets of kuiu and a couple of sets of other brands. I use kuiu for almost everything and this year, I bought some of the teton line to use in the desert for my bow hunts. Jason's business model might be frustrating to some but I like the way the company is always working to better their products. Their black Friday sale has always been on the stuff in stock so it goes quick. Don't see to many of the other guys doing 30% off. I was able to get what I wanted. Merry Xmas to me. I use it from Arizona to Alaska. Awesome stuff. Brent

You might wait till Xmas. They have a pretty good Black Friday sale. It is limited to what is in stock but if you are quick, you can get what you want. I have bought most of the kuiu I have during the sale. Brent

If you are using Google Chrome, try Safari if you have it. It works with that browser. Brent -

I believe it says that you must have a current license at the time of the draw. Mine expires today. Bought it last year for the spring draw. They are good for 365 days Brent -

Talked to someone from fish and game up in Phoenix. They are aware of the problem that centered around the error message and will be working to refund back our cards. She said one person did tried seventeen times. Glad I stopped after two. Brent -

I did mine this morning on google chrome. I got the same error message twice. Worked on Safari. But what sucked is my card shows three pending charges even from the ones that showed error. What the heck Brent -
Cody. It was a pleasure to meet you. Thanks for taking time out of your day to get me that shotgun. I will send you that email in a day or so. Right now, my brain is so tired I can't think straight. Thanks again, Brent

Sent you a pm about the 20 gauge

My daughter, shoots a 264 win mag, that is built on a browning a-bolt action. Craig's Custom Rifles, here in Tucson, is rebuilding it for a second time for us. Some of the problems that I have found is the lack of components that are made for the other actions. Stocks, etc Brent

I heard a rumor that it might be open again. Anybody else know whats going on? They won't answer their phone and there is nothing on their website. Brent

That truly sucks. I just happen to read a email from the fish and game the spoke of the fire. I was hoping to be out there shooting today. Brent
